One UI 5.1’s Camera zoom controller feature is now available in several countries for Galaxy Watches

As you know, Samsung is ready to launch its new generation S series device next week. The company has also teased the One UI 5.1, which may be preloaded in Galaxy S23. The Korean giant is rapidly working on the architecture of the next version of One UI 5.0; it is noticeable from some updates, like recently Samsung rolling out a new update for its Galaxy watches which brings some features that are compatible with One UI 5.1. The update brings some new features and improvements like A new “Connected device diagnostics” option has been added to check the proper performance of the Galaxy watch’s battery status, touch screen function, etc., on the connected phone. A new camera feature was added, which enhances the watch’s functionality and has also fixed some known bugs, and improves the overall stability of the watch.

Camera controller feature

Samsung has unveiled a new feature with the latest January 2023 update for the Galaxy watches. Basically, this feature allows you to change Zoom on your phone remotely by pinching in or out on the screen or rotating the bezel. This feature unlocks new functionality and makes it more interactive using the smartphone’s camera. Notably, the camera controller feature only works on flagship smartphones which launched after Galaxy S20 or Z Flip devices and are running on One UI 5.1.

The new update is currently available in these countries

The latest update comes under the January 2023 update, which is currently available for Galaxy Watch 4 series and Watch 5 series. Initially, Samsung rolled out the update for the Galaxy 5 series Watches in the US and Korea; later, it expanded to Europe and Canada. The Galaxy Watch 4 series watches have only received the update in Korea and the US. However, it is expected to be available in other countries soon.
