Samsung now focuses on budget-friendly smartphones and serves the new One UI 5.1 update for eligible devices; for starters, Samsung defines the eligibility of devices at the time of launch. It also includes a new security patch as of February 2023 which is a regular monthly update that brings several fixes that enhance the overall security of devices.

According to the official documentation, the May 2024 security patch will address more than 50 different system variabilities. More specifically, Google has introduced 31 fixes that will improve the functioning of the Android ecosystem; meanwhile, Samsung has also added 25 fixes for Galaxy devices exclusively.
