Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6 Charging Details Revealed: No Upgrade Expected

Published

Samsung is setting up to upgrade the battery life of the sixth-generation Galaxy foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. But what about the charging speeds?

Leaks and rumors are doing well to increase the enthusiasm among the Galaxy foldable fans, as ahead of any official commitment they are unveiling the expected design, processor, and key features such as battery. It has already been revealed that the forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a bigger dual battery as compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 5

But here’s the question: a bigger dual battery is okay! But what about the charging speed, whether it gets upgraded or not?

It is sad to relate the answer: Samsung may not upgrade the charging speed of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. This is being speculated by an important certification in China that lists both the foldable smartphones and Samsung’s 25W charger. Not only this, but the charger also carries the model number EP-TA800, which is examined by the regulatory authorities for every Galaxy smartphone as well as tablets that support 25W charging.

Since a 25W charger is mentioned in the certification, it does not indicate that 25W will be the maximum charging speed on the new phones. Flagship Galaxy devices that support 45W charging are tested along with the 25W charger as well, but noticeably, these certifications are not the exact confirmation of a charging speed. This may change as well.

But it has come to be known that if Samsung introduces 45W charging to its forthcoming foldable this year, then there is a high possibility that only the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will support it. In short, since Samsung has not officially revealed anything regarding the battery of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 yet, we can just wait to see what new changes and upgrades the forthcoming foldable will bring.

Samsung Could Welcome Back ‘Galaxy C Series’ With Galaxy C55 In 2024

Samsung appears to believe old is gold, as it is planning a re-welcome for its old ‘Galaxy C series’ as reported.

Presently, Samsung is playing a game with its six series, including the Galaxy Z (foldable), Galaxy S (flagship), Galaxy A (mid-range), Galaxy M and Galaxy F (affordable), and Galaxy Note. Now it is planning to add one more series named ‘Galaxy C’.

Although the Galaxy C series is not the latest for the Korean giants, seven years ago there was a Galaxy C series in existence that vanished away. The last device from the C series was the Galaxy C8, which was launched back in 2017. And now it looks like Samsung is gearing up for the comeback of the Galaxy C series with a brand new device named the Galaxy C55.

This is being speculated since the smartphone has now surfaced on the Google Play Console listing, suggesting specs similar to the Galaxy M55 and Galaxy F55. However, the device will not see a global debut and is intended for the Chinese market. The Play Console listing unveils some key details; for instance, the device will feature a Full HD (1080 x 2400 pixel) display with a screen density of 450 DPI, 8GB of RAM, and will be powered by Android 14 and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.

It is the same chipset that is rumored for the Galaxy M55 and Galaxy F55. Qualcomm introduced this mid-range chip back in 2022 and offers four Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz, four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 662 GPU. Apart from this, no much more details have been revealed regarding the Galaxy C55 yet, but it is expected that soon more information will come to light.
