Attention Galaxy S21 Users! Green Line Display Issue Reported After Update

Published

on

Green is the new red alert for Galaxy smartphone users! Many Galaxy smartphone users started claiming display issues after installing a software update.

This issue is not the latest, as it has been present in Samsung phones for a couple of years, and unfortunately, the brand has not done anything dedicatedly to solve it. This issue usually occurs after installing new software updates.

Now again, a couple of Galaxy users have started complaining of display-related issues on their smartphones with OLED screens. After installing the software update, for instance, in the present condition after installing One UI 6.0 or the April 2024 security patch, a green or pink line started occurring on the phone’s display, as users reported.

However, at the time, this issue appeared on some particular models, which are the Galaxy A73, Galaxy M21, Galaxy M52 5G, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S22 series, and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Galaxy smartphones are not the only ones, but also Motorola, OnePlus, Vivo, and Xiaomi seem to have the same issue, as a post on X is unveiling. This issue is quite horrible since users install new software updates to refine and upgrade their older devices, but at last, they get a green line issue. This has mortified the users so much that people have started recording videos while installing new updates on their devices, as a tipster @sondesix revealed on X.

Noticeably, this is not a minor issue, as an OLED display panel is not cheap at all, even though sometimes the OLED panel costs almost half the phone’s original price. The Galaxy users who are facing this issue have registered complaints, but Samsung does not seem to have issued a wider circular to after-sales service centers to replace display panels on affected phones for free.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Display Size Leak: Bigger Than Expected?

Published

on

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is again in the reports regarding its bigger display as compared to its predecessor.

Previous reports already cleared the existence of the next Fan Edition variant named Galaxy S24 FE and hinted that it might be launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event, along with the next-generation foldable Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 phones, which is supposed to be held in early July.

Now that recent rumors are unveiling that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could feature a 6.7-inch display, which is a bit bigger than the previous fan edition models, let’s take a closer look at the display size of older Galaxy FE smartphones.

  • Galaxy S23 FE, 6.4-inch
  • Galaxy S21 FE, 6.4-inch

Now, the Galaxy S24 FE is expected to have a 6.7-inch panel. Last time, the Korean giant offered this much bigger display to the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite back in 2020. If this report comes true, then the Galaxy S24 FE will feature a bigger display than the original base variant of the Galaxy S24 series.

The official key specification of the phone has not been unveiled yet, but it is expected that the Galaxy S24 FE could be powered by the Exynos 2400 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It could feature a 6.7-inch FDH+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A parallel increase in battery size will be necessary to power the larger screen. It would be interesting to see what new novelties the forthcoming Galaxy S24 FE will bring.
