Samsung One UI 5.1 rolls out for Galaxy Tab Active 3 and Active 4 Pro

Samsung has successfully updated most of the Galaxy smartphones with One UI 5.1 in the initial wave of rolling-out sessions; now, it is expanding the update to tablets. The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active 3 are getting the One UI 5.1 update.

The One UI 5.1 update is the latest upgrade of Samsung’s own designed skin, which brings all new features which are exclusively available for Galaxy devices. The latest update brings several new features which will be available under the existing function of devices. For instance, now you will get a new widget named battery widget, which helps you to identify the battery level of each device that is connected to your tablet. Currently, the latest update for Galaxy Tab Active 3 and Tab Active 4 Pro is rolling out in several countries, including the US, Singapore, and Japan. The One UI 5.1 update also includes a new security patch in the form of February 2023.

Users who own Galaxy Tab Active 3 and Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro can identify the update by its build version numbers T630XXU1BWB4/T636NKOU1BWB4. In contrast, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 WiFi variant is getting the same update in the US with version number T570XXU4EWC2.

The Galaxy Tab Active 3 was launched back in 2020; it comes with Android 10 on board. Later the device received three more major updates sequentially. Currently, it is running on Android 13. Being three year old device, it is no longer eligible for the further major update. But it will surely get some minor updates in the form of security patches in the coming days.

The Galaxy Tab Active 4 is the latest device of the Active series, which was launched last year. The device was packed with Android 12. And then, it received one more update that brought several new features which added new functionality to the device. The update comes in the form of One UI 5.0 and is based on Android 13. The device will get two more major updates in the future, which means you will be able to update the device up to Android 15.

In Chile and Thailand, the update is coming with the firmware version number A546EXXS7BXD4.

The Galaxy A34 is grabbing the April 2024 security patch update with the firmware version number A346EXXS6BXD6 in the Philippines, while in other countries including Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the UAE, and Tunisia, the update comes bearing firmware version A346EXXS6BXD7. In more countries, including Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, the phone is getting a new update with firmware version A346EXXS6BXD9.

The April 2024 security patch belongs to the security update menu, which doesn’t bring any new features but will provide some fixes that enhance the overall security mechanism of the Galaxy devices. In a nutshell, the update will bring more than 40 fixes for addressing issues related to the system settings.

Galaxy Z Flip 5G gets April 2024 security patch in the USA

Samsung has recently introduced the April 2024 security patch to several Galaxy Z Flip 5G devices in several countries,including Australia, Canada, and some European countries. Now the US units of the device are getting the update.

The locked version of the Galaxy Z Fllp 5G is getting an April 2024 security patch update with the firmware version number F707USQS7IXC1. As of writing, the update has been spotted on the Sprint network. Meanwhile, the unlocked units for the device come with the firmware version number F707U1UES7IXC1.

The new update for the April 2024 security patch doesn’t bring any new features, but, being a security update, it will enhance some internal functions and aim to provide some improvements for the update.
