Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 2 are getting the March 2023 security update in Canada
Samsung has rolled out a new update for Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Canada. The latest update brings a new security patch in the form of March 2023; it is informed that both of the devices have received the One UI 5.1 with the previous update.
The March 2023 security patch includes several new fixes that resolve the issues that may be dangerous to your privacy. It is a standard update which is designed by Google to enhance the overall security of Android devices, but in the case of Galaxy devices, the Korean giant has added some extra patches which improve the functioning of its devices so users can enjoy using their devices without any worry.
The March 2023 security update is landing on Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy S21 FE with the new firmware version numbers F916WVLS2JWC1 and G990WVLU5EWC1, respectively. Being the first post update after One UI 5.1, it may also contain some more improvements that provide more stability to the features that came with the previous update.
The Galaxy S21FE was the lite variant of the Galaxy S21 main series, which was introduced one year later and came with all the important features. Samsung has designed this device to make available high-end features for users who prefer mid-range phones. The device was launched back in 2022 and came with Android 12. Later, the device grabbed one more update and is currently running on Android 13. It is expected that the device will receive two more Android updates in the future.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G was introduced back in 2020 and came with Android 10. Later the device received three more major updates in the form of new Android versions, and with the latest development, the device is running on One UI 5.1, which is based on Android 13, the device is now no longer eligible for any major update, but it will get two new minor updates in the form of security patches.
Samsung Galaxy A15 5G is the latest budget-friendly device from Samsung. It was launched back in December last year, and it came with Android 14 preinstalled. Now it is getting its first significant update in the form of One UI 6.1, and it will ultimately improve the utility of different pre-existing functionality.
As of writing, the locked unit of the Galaxy A15 5G has started getting new updates with the firmware version number A156USQU1BXDA. The One UI 6.1 update for this device hasn’t brought a new security patch and still uses the April 2024 patch level. The update is available on each network for locked variants and is expected to reach the unlocked variant in the next few days.

The One UI 6.1 feature will provide several new changes for the Galaxy devices; however, the update will not bring any Galaxy AI features, but it will provide a bunch of new features that will elevate the user experience.
