Samsung solves Exynos security issue to the Galaxy A33 with the latest update

Samsung offers new updates to every Galaxy device in the form of One UI (based on Android) and security updates; nowadays, the company previously mentioned how many updates will be available for the devices at the time of launch. Generally, the high-end devices of Samsung, which come in the upper-midrange segment, will be eligible for four Android updates, while the other devices aren’t eligible for any certain number of updates. 

The Galaxy A33 5G is also one of the devices which comes with the promise of enjoying new updates for up to five years. And currently, the device is receiving one of those updates. Let’s know about it.

The Galaxy A33 5G is receiving the March 2023 update in Europe, and it can be easily identified by the new firmware version A336BXXS5CWC2. The new update brings several new patches which come with new patches that resolve various security flaws; as per the official documentation of Samsung, the new security patch fixes over 60 security vulnerabilities. 

According to the reports, there are several security flaws found in the Exynos-powered devices, which will be fixed after installing this update. However, the update only covered limited flaws. Samsung has said that it will fix other remaining issues in the other security update; the latest security update is also started rolling out for Galaxy devices. The Korean giant has already released it for the Galaxy S23 series with a massive camera update in its home country. 

The update will be soon expanded in the form of April 2023, which may resolve all the issues that are dangerous for the device’s security. Being a midrange series device, the Galaxy A33 5G will soon receive a new security update.

The Galaxy A33 5G was launched back in 2022; it came with Android 12 preinstalled. Currently, the device is running on Android 13, and recently, it has also received a One UI 5.1 update. Being a midrange, Samsung promised to give this device software update support update four years, which means users of it will be eligible to get three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.

Verizon locked Galaxy Tab A9+ and Galaxy Tab S9+ gets April 2024 security update

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab A9+ are the latest tables in their lineups. The Korean giant introduced them last year, and both tablet series came with Android 13. Later, they will have already received a major update in the form of Android 14. Now, following the software update policy, both of the devices are getting the April 2024 security patch update.

The locked variants of the Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab A9+ are getting the April 2024 security patch update with the firmware version numbers X218USQS1BXD1 and X818USQS2BXD2, respectively. The Verizon network has received the update for these devices as of writing.

According to the information, the April 2024 security patch is a standard security patch that doesn’t bring any special changes that could impact the experience of the devices, but it will provide some enhancements that could improve the security of the devices.

Samsung sending April 2024 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 Series

After introducing the April 2024 security patch update to flagship device tables, including the Galaxy Tab S9 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series, the company has now started rolling out the update to older tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

Notably, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ are getting the update with the firmware version number DXD1 (last letters). With the latest update, the drive is getting some enhancements for security, which will make the device less vulnerable to external threats.

Going to the details, Google has added 27 patches that will improve the overall security of the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also added 17 more patches that exclusively improve Galaxy devices’ functionality.

Moreover, the update has also brought some extra improvements that will boost the performance and stability of the devices. If you are having any issues since updating the last update, then the latest update may address them and provide a more seamless experience.

Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G starts getting the April 2024 security patch in the US

Samsung has rolled out the April 2024 security patch update to several units of the Galaxy Tab S9 in many countries, and now the fan edition devices have also started getting the same update and were initially spotted in the US.

Notably, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is getting updates for both WiFi and 5G variants. More specifically, the 5G variant of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is receiving the update with the firmware version X518USQS3BXD2. It is spotted on several networks, including Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, and US Cellular. Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi variants of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ are grabbing the update with the firmware version numbers X510XXS3BXD6 and X518USQS3BXD2, respectively.
