Samsung has bigger plans to expand its smart wearable family beyond expectations, as Galaxy Glasses are next in line.

Samsung, apart from the forthcoming sixth-generation foldable Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 Galaxy Ringdevices, which are supposed to debut at the Galaxy Unpacked Event 2024 in July, is also busy expanding the wearable area by debuting a brand new smart glasses.

Back in 2023, Samsung had already trademarked the name for its smart glasses, Galaxy Glasses, from which reports regarding this are blowing. And now the recent reports are unveiling that Samsung has now filed a patent with the World Intellectual Property Organization for its smart glasses.

It is being speculated by Patently Apple that the patent displays the potential design of smart glasses by Samsung along with its charging case. Although the design of the glasses does not appear to be too different from the usual spectacles, For more details, the patent reveals some technical details about it.

The patent is revealing that the lenses are housed in their default place, but the left rim of them has magnetic connection points that will permit the glasses to charge while placed on their cover. The batteries are placed at each temple tip. Curiously, the patent makes no mention of cameras or sensors—components generally expected in XR devices.

Probably the patent will focus simply on the physical design. Samsung might file separate subsequent patents covering the more complex technical aspects of an invention. For now, nothing more has been revealed; the patent only reveals some insights, and it’s too early to say if Samsung will launch this product.

However, Samsung has not unveiled anything regarding the smartphone officially yet, but it is expected that some news from Tipster and the brand will get revealed soon.

Samsung Galaxy Fans, now not to worry about your battery! The Korean Electronics firm officially disclosed the two brand-new power banks, which seem to be the successors of the Samsung 10Ah Battery Pack.

Samsung, in its home country, South Korea, introduced two new portable PD power banks to enhance battery charging speeds as well as battery capacities.

  • Samsung PD Power Bank, 20,000mAh
  • Samsung PD Wireless Power Bank, 10,000mAh

This time, the brand has offered only one shade choice for both power banks, which is a beige color. And manufactured by using 30% recycled plastic materials.

For enhancing as well as upgrading the performance, these support the USB 3.0 PD standard, which leads to a fast charging speed, especially for Galaxy-tagged gadgets. The power bank with a 20,000mAh battery capacity offers at least 45W wired fast charging. It has the power to charge three devices together through three USB Type C ports.

On the other side, the next power bank with 10,000 mAh arrives with two variants: wireless and wired fast charging. This supports at least up to 25W of fast charging along with two USB Type C ports. However, the brand is built in such a way that it can still charge three devices together due to the wireless charging pad housed on top.

This PD Power Bank 20,000mAh variant costs 66,000 won, which is nearly $49, whereas the 10,000mAh variant costs 55,000 won, which is nearly $41.

Interested parties can easily grab these power banks through the official sites of the brand or from Samsung stores as well as major retailers in South Korea. Customers can also take advantage of a 10% discount on these power banks by buying them from the official site, Samsung.com, from March 19th to March 31st, 2024.

Also, the 20,000mAh power bank will probably be named the Samsung 20Ah Battery Pack on the global platform.
