Samsung has started rolling out the latest April 2023 security update for its Galaxy Note 20 series smartphones in Asian and European countries. The update was first rolled out for US users more than two weeks ago and is now being made available to users in Germany, Indonesia, Southeast Europe, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. More countries are expected to receive the update within the next few days.
The update brings the latest April 2023 security patch that includes fixes for over 60 security flaws, including the ones affecting Exynos chips and modems. These fixes are crucial to ensure that user data and privacy remain secure. The update might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements, further enhancing the overall user experience.
The version number for the 4G variant is N98*FXXU6HWCC, while the 5G variant has the version number N98*BXXU6HWCC. The update is being rolled out over the air (OTA), which means users will receive a notification when the update is ready for download and installation. Alternatively, users can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software update > Download and Install.
One notable feature that is expected to be included in the update is the Image Clipper feature that debuted with the Galaxy S23. The feature allows users to easily clip out images from a photo and use them for other purposes. This feature can be especially useful for social media enthusiasts and content creators who often need to edit and manipulate images.
