Galaxy S24 will have minimum 12GB RAM and 256GB storage
The annoyance generated by the Exynos 2200 chipset in the Galaxy S22 devices isn’t hidden from anybody. The incident pushed Samsung to completely abandon using an Exynos chipset in its upcoming Galaxy flagship. Consequently, the Galaxy S23 series exclusively used Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in it. However, the upcoming Galaxy S24 series will provide space for the rearrival of Exynos processors in Galaxy flagships.
As per the reports, Exynos is expected to make its comeback with the next Galaxy S24 series devices, as they had to spend 49.9% more this year (2022), on buying chips, as compared to the previous year. Hence, the company is planning to bring back Exynos chipsets, so they don’t need to buy more chips. These reports also revealed that the upcoming Galaxy flagship would amaze users in terms of RAM & Storage as well.
Galaxy S24: Improvised RAM & Storage Capacity
Informatively, Samsung is about to increase the RAM and Storage capacity of its future flagship. In specific, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ devices are said to upgrade to 12GB of RAM instead of 8GB, along with a minimum storage option of 256 GB. As for the Ultra model, the RAM will be increased from 12GB to 16 GB. Now you may be wondering if increased RAM and Storage capacity will increase these devices’ prices as well.
If yes, so let us tell you, that’s not gonna happen. Instead, the company is improvising the RAM and storage chip (USF 4.1 in place of USF 4.0) despite maintaining the price. It has been possible only because of Exynos processors’ comeback, as they no longer need to spend too much on buying more chipsets from Qualcomm. However, many of us are still worrying about this Exynos chip due to its predecessor’s problematic nature.
Exynos 2400 SoC: No more a problematic nature
As per the company, we no longer need to worry about the Exynos processor because they have made several necessary improvements to it to prevent any problems. An industry insider stated in that manner, “With the stabilization of Samsung Electronics’ 4-nano foundry process yield, there are positive reactions to the performance of the Exynos 2400 from inside and outside the company.”
Let us tell you a little about this chipset; it will be a 10-core processor, developed with a 4nm fabrication process, has AMD RDNA-based Xclipse GPU, and will feature 12 CUs (computing units). It will have 10 CPU cores, a Cortex-X4 core (3.1GHz), two Cortex-A720 cores (2.9GHz), three Cortex-A720 cores (2.6GHz), and four Cortex-A520 cores (1.8GHz). At present, it is all we know about this chipset; if we find something in the future, we will share it with you through our upcoming articles.
