Carrier-Unlocked Galaxy S23 gets March 2024 update in the US

Samsung is gradually expanding the March 2024 security update for its devices. It is worth noticing that the company doesn’t follow any pattern to update the device to the latest security update, but still, it tries to bring the update initially to the latest devices, like the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, etc.
As you know, in the US, there are two types of phones available: some are locked to carriers and others are unlocked. The Galaxy S23 has already gotten the update for the locked version, spotted on T-Mobile and MetroPCS. Now it has started getting the same update for the unlocked variants. The update is coming with the firmware version number S91*U1UES2BXBD.
The latest update for the Galaxy S23 devices comes with the standard security patch changelog, which doesn’t specify any other feature or innovation for the devices. However, the update is still worth installing on the device as it will provide some functional improvements, so if you are having any issues while using any function, you should update your Galaxy device to the latest version.
If you are a One UI fan, then unfortunately this update will not provide any UI changes for the devices, but don’t worry. Samsung has confirmed earlier that it will bring the One UI 6.1 update for eligible Galaxy devices this month; however, it hasn’t confirmed any date, but we expect that the company will start rolling out the update with Galaxy S23 devices.
If you are using the unlocked Galaxy S23 Series in the US, then now you can update your device to the latest version by simply going to the software update menu through the system settings. If it shows the new update available, then tap on the download button, but if it doesn’t show any new update, then you have to wait for a couple of days.
