Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 started getting March 2024 security update in the US

Samsung has already started rolling out the March 2024 security patch update for its Galaxy devices. Initially, it brought the update to the Galaxy S24 devices and then gradually expanded it to more Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S23 series. Now, moving forward, the update is now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are receiving a new update in the US. Specifically, these devices are getting the new update on two network carriers, including Verizon and US Cellular. For identification, users who own a Galaxy Z Flip 5 can check the firmware version number, F731USQS2BXBE. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is getting the same update with the firmware version number F946USQS2BXBE.

The March 2024 security patch update doesn’t bring any new features, but it will provide some new fixes for enhancing the overall security of the devices. According to the documentation, the latest update includes more than 40 fixes; from them, there are 37 fixes added by Google, while Samsung has also included some extra fixes that make some internal improvements, so Galaxy devices can be ready to get more protection.

Moreover, the latest update for the Galaxy devices may also bring some other functional improvements that will make them able to take some upgrades to enhance their performance and stability.

If you are using the locked variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 or Flip 5 in the US, which is bound to the above-mentioned carriers, then you can install the latest update by going to the system software update option through the system settings.
