Samsung is now expanding the May 2023 security update for the Galaxy Note 10 series smartphones. Previously, the company has rolled out the security update to most of the smartphones belonging to different lineups, including Galaxy Z, Galaxy S, and Galaxy A.
According to the information, the May 2023 security update is now rolling out for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ with version numbers N970NKSU2HWD2 and N975NKSU2HWD2, respectively. Currently, the update is rolling in Korea.
The May 2023 security update doesn’t bring any new features; as per the changelog, it mentions improvements to the stabilization of the phone and enhances the overall performance of the device.
Being a flagship-grade device, Samsung hasn’t given the image Clipper feature to the Galaxy Note 10. The reason behind it may be the hardware limitation. With time Samsung has reduced the frequency of security updates. Initially, the company was rolling out a monthly security update; later, it reduced it and listed the device in the quarterly security update.
The Galaxy Note 10 was launched back in 2019; the device came with Android 9. Later it received three major updates and now runs on Android 12. Now the device is no more eligible for grabbing the new major update. However, Samsung has promised to give extra security support so it will get more security updates in the coming days.
