Samsung releases April 2023 update for Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy A71

Samsung is gradually expanding the April 2023 security updates to the remaining devices, including Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy A71. These devices have already enjoyed this security update in several regions.

The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ get April 2023 security updates with version numbers N970FXXS8HWC5 and N975FXXS8HWC5, respectively. The update comes in a 250 MB software package.

The Galaxy Note 10 was launched back in 2019, and being the year-old device, Samsung has decreased the frequency of updates for the device; at present, the Galaxy Note 10 is enjoying quarterly security updates, but it is expected that the device will get two updates in a year.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A71 belongs to a biannual security update which means it is only eligible for getting a maximum of two minor updates per year. Currently, the device is receiving its first security update in the form of an April 2023 security patch. The update is rolling out with the firmware version A715FXXS9DWD1, which weighs 235MB.

The April 2023 security update doesn’t bring any new features, but it includes bug fixes and improvements for the internal functions of the device. Ultimately, it enhances the overall security and performance of your device.

The latest update for Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy A71 is rolling out in Netherlands and Belgium. The update will soon be available on your device. At the time of its availability, you will get a notification. Alternatively, you can also check it manually from your device settings.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series receives July 2024 update in Canada

Samsung is aggressively expanding the July 2024 update to eligible devices, and it is worth noticing that the company is rapidly serving the update for the Galaxy S22 units in different regions. Earlier devices have already received the update in Europe and the US. Now, the Canadian units are also starting to get it.

Users who own the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22+ can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S901WVLS6EXF8, S906WVLS6EXF8 and S908WVLS6EXF8 respectively.

According to the official documentation, the July 2024 update will provide more than 60 patches, and here, Google has introduced 27 patches to address the issues found in the Android OS.

Meanwhile, Samsung has also introduced 33 more patches, enabling Galaxy smartphones to be more secure. This time, the company has also exclusively introduced two more patches to address the issues related to the semiconductor chip.

Moreover, the update may also provide some more new system changes that ultimately improve the overall performance and stability of the devices. For instance, if you have had issues using your device since the last update, you should also check out the latest update.

Samsung has rolled out the July 2024 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the US. It is worth noting that the update has already arrived for the Canadian units. This indicates that the company is gradually expanding the update to more units.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 new updates in the US

Samsung has already rolled out the July 2024 security patch for the fifth generation; now, moving forward, Samsung has started rolling out the July 2024 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices.

More specifically, the July 2024 update is spotted on the unlocked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 with the firmware version number F936U1UES6FXG2. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 was spotted getting the update for the locked units with firmware version number F721USQS6FXG2.

The update is spotted on the USCellular network and is expected to reach more networks in the coming days.

It is the initial rollout, so it may take time to reach every available Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 unit. If you are using the devices in the US, you can now check the update from the software update menu via system settings.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices back in 2022; the drive came with Android 12 pre-installed. Later, the devices received two more major updates in the form of Android 13 and Android 14. Following the updated policy, it is expected to get two more major updates by next year.

Samsung has rolled out a new update for the RegiStar, which comes with firmware version number v1.0.54. With the latest update, a new feature, which allows users to execute on and off-screen, is added, such as sound and vibration time notifications.

Apart from these, the update also improved the voice recording operation error, and for safety purposes, the company has added a new stabilization patch that makes the application more stable.

For starters, the RegiStar application allows users to customize the different operations that a dedicated side key can execute, reconfigure the menu of settings, home screen, back tap functionality, and more.

The latest update for RegiStar is a software package of 32.44MB. Galaxy device users can easily download the latest update via the Galaxy store. As the application belongs to Good Lock, users can also check the update directly from the Good Lock application.
