Galaxy S23 Ultra to get 2x zoom option for videos

Informatively, a few days ago, the re-arrival of the 2x zoom option in portrait mode to the Galaxy S23 Ultra device was spreading all over the internet. Now, recent reports suggest that the Korean firm is planning to bring the 2x zoom option for the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s video recording mode as well. It is said that this option will use the Galaxy S23 Ultra device’s centre 50 MP resolution cut from its primary 200MP HP2 sensor.

However, everybody is worrying about the quality of the video which will be recorded with this option. So, let us tell you, there is no need to worry as it’s not going to reduce the video quality. Samsung’s forum moderator itself claimed that Samsung’s engineers had already evaluated the image quality; hence, camera aspects such as brightness will not be affected while using the non-native 2x zoom level option for video recording.
Samsung Reminder receives a significate update with some new features
Let us tell you this option will arrive in the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the upcoming software update. Unfortunately, it is unknown whether it will arrive alongside the 2x zoom mode for portrait mode or not. To get its answer, we need to wait till its arrival. One more thing is also unclear, the rest of the Galaxy S23 devices (Base and Plus) other than the Ultra model are lined up to get it or not. The answer lies in the future only.

According to the information, some Galaxy S24 users in Korea have made numerous complaints and demanded some customizability of AOD through Lockstar. However, it is unclear if these changes will be implemented through the next application update or in a different way. However, the Good Lock support team has confirmed that they are actively working on this issue.
If we talk about the AOD customization option available on other devices, you can change the color and style of the clock and other elements, and you can also manage the brightness of the AOD manually.
Samsung ritually went with the fun and vibrant color option for its Galaxy Z Flip series, and this time also the brand could stay on the same strategy for its forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6—recent rumors revealing plenty of details regarding the sixth-generation Galaxy Z Foldable.
Samsung is gearing up to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July. These devices have also been spotted on the 3C certification website, which points to an unchanged battery charging speed.
Now the Display Supply Chain Consultant, Ross Young, has revealed the color and storage variants of the upcoming foldable phones. If the reports are to be believed, Samsung could offer seven color choices for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which are as follows:
- Crafted in black, light blue, mint, peach, silver shadow, white, and yellow.
The executive stated that the light green and silver shades will be marketed as mint and silver shadow. However, these color variants are already found on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It will be interesting to see whether Samsung will adopt a darker or lighter hue on the Flip 6.
The Crafted Black, Peach, and White choices are expected to be available in specific regions or in limited quantities. Notably, the lavender/purple color, which has been a staple on the Z Flips, is missing. Jumping on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, so the color options are still similar as previously reported. But here’s the catchable fact: Dark Blue will be marketed as Navy and Silver as Silver Shadow. A new light pink has also appeared, along with low-volume colors like black and white.
Apart from the color options, the reports also revealed that Samsung could continue to offer the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 in two variants based on storage:
- 256 GB and 512 GB storage options.
Finally, the Galaxy C series is officially back in existence as Samsung, without any noise, announced the Galaxy C55 model.
Samsung debuted its Galaxy C55 device without even receiving any notification, although at the moment, the device is listed only on Samsung China’s official website. The Galaxy C series is not the latest one, since the giant used to launch smartphones under the C series but suddenly the series vanished away, and now it’s back in the market with the Galaxy C55, initially in China.
Apart from the announcement of the device, Samsung has not revealed any details regarding price or availability.
The Galaxy C55 has now officially debuted in China, which means that it will soon go on sale and also be available in other regions. The info stated that the Galaxy C55 will be available for purchase in China for:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage = 1,999 Yuan (nearly $275).
- 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage = 2,299 Yuan (nearly $320).

The Samsung Galaxy C55 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, FHD+ resolution, and 1000 nits peak brightness, plus a center-aligned punch-hole cutout and in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The brand powered it with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, a 5,000mAh battery, and the support of 45W wired fast charging. The triple-camera setup includes a 50MP primary, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro. On the flip side, a 50MP selfie camera is housed.
Available in two color options: orange and fashion black, both of which arrive with a stitched vegan leather back. The smartphone measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs around 180 grams. If the reports are to be believed, the Galaxy C55 will launch in China on April 28.
