Galaxy S23 Ultra to get 2x zoom option for videos

Published

on

This year’s eye-stealer Galaxy S23 Ultra packs a bunch of amazing photographic abilities, including hardware and software. The device’s back camera setup alone is worthy of giving tough competition to any smartphone’s camera, including iPhone’s. On top of that, Samsung’s software technology brings various new features to this device that takes its photographic abilities even higher. Now, another amazing feature is ready to reach there.

Informatively, a few days ago, the re-arrival of the 2x zoom option in portrait mode to the Galaxy S23 Ultra device was spreading all over the internet. Now, recent reports suggest that the Korean firm is planning to bring the 2x zoom option for the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s video recording mode as well. It is said that this option will use the Galaxy S23 Ultra device’s centre 50 MP resolution cut from its primary 200MP HP2 sensor.

Android 14 and One UI 6.0: Here’s which Samsung Galaxy will update

However, everybody is worrying about the quality of the video which will be recorded with this option. So, let us tell you, there is no need to worry as it’s not going to reduce the video quality. Samsung’s forum moderator itself claimed that Samsung’s engineers had already evaluated the image quality; hence, camera aspects such as brightness will not be affected while using the non-native 2x zoom level option for video recording.

Samsung Reminder receives a significate update with some new features

Let us tell you this option will arrive in the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the upcoming software update. Unfortunately, it is unknown whether it will arrive alongside the 2x zoom mode for portrait mode or not. To get its answer, we need to wait till its arrival. One more thing is also unclear, the rest of the Galaxy S23 devices (Base and Plus) other than the Ultra model are lined up to get it or not. The answer lies in the future only.

Galaxy S25 to Retain Same Battery Capacity as Previous Models

Even though 2025 is still half a year away, Samsung has already begun preparing for the launch of its next flagship device, the Galaxy S25, in early 2025. The upcoming Galaxy S25 is expected not to get a bigger battery.

Even before any official announcement and launch of the Galaxy S25, leaks and rumors are blowing in the market. Now the new report says that Samsung will not offer major battery upgrades for the Galaxy S25. The statistic bar of the battery ratio in the Galaxy S-series shakes usually since the Galaxy S22 features 3700 mAh, the Galaxy S23 has 3900 mAh, and the recently launched Galaxy S24 has 4000 mAh.

Now the brand is looking forward to debuting its next-generation Galaxy S25, and reports are saying that it will not bring any battery upgrades. Reports suggest that the standard Samsung Galaxy S25 with the model number SM-S931 will have a similar battery power of around 4000 mAh as its predecessor series.

The Korean giant has already secured the name for the upcoming model “Galaxy S25” in Mexico, suggesting a launch in 2025. This appears to be a recent pre-registration device name trend for the giant well before launch. Recently, the brand registered the names of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, the latter is not expected until next year, just like the Galaxy S25.

However, securing the Galaxy S25 trademark doesn’t exactly guarantee that the series will last for two years. Meanwhile, the Koran giant could intend to continue the successful S-series, but pre-registering a name doesn’t confirm long-term plans.

According to the leak shared by Evan Blass on X, Samsung’s upcoming Z-foldable smartphone series will feature some exciting colors. The Galaxy Z Fold6 is reported to come in three colorways: pink, navy, and silver shadow, while the clamshell Galaxy Z Flip6 will be available in four color variants, including mint, blue, silver shadow, and yellow.

Moreover, Blass further added that despite the aforementioned colorways, Samsung could exclusively offer the Galaxy Z Fold6 in white and crafted black colors, while the Z Flip6 could feature white, crafted black, and an additional peach color. Also, these colors could only be exclusive to Samsung’s online stores in certain regions.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6:

No New OS Update for Samsung Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A52s 5G

Published

Samsung Galaxy A52 is a family of three members, including the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A52s. It lost its software support after receiving the latest Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update.

Recently, Samsung has delivered the One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy A52 lineup, and that will be its final major OS update. The brand debuted all three Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A52s back in 2021, when it followed the policy to offer three years of major Android upgrades and four years of security patches for specific devices. According to this policy, Samsung promised to offer three years of major OS updates to the Galaxy A52 lineup.

Finally, Galaxy A52 models have received all the allotted OS updates. They arrived with Android 11-based One UI 3 out of the box, and until the current Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update, they have received their three major OS and One UI updates. Since they have received three major OS updates, they are only eligible to receive security updates. Those security updates will come every three months for the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G, at least until 2025, and monthly for the Galaxy A52s. It will be interesting to see whether or not security updates will be available after that.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A51 5G received security patches for four years, but it seems that the A52 lineup could get a fifth year of security updates before Samsung discontinues support. As far as Android and One UI updates that bring new features are concerned.
