Android Auto 9.7 directly in stable version: What’s new

Published

on

Traditionally, Google follows a pattern of releasing a Beta version of Android Auto before launching the stable version. This approach allows them to identify bugs or issues with a limited number of users more likely to provide feedback. By doing so, they can address any problems and ensure a smoother experience when the stable version is released. However, Android Auto 9.7 version appears to deviate from this practice and opt for a different release strategy, skipping the Beta version entirely in favor of directly launching the stable version.

It is important to note that Google has not provided any official statement regarding the reasons behind their decision, leaving us to speculate on the matter. Many Pixel users may have noticed a slight delay in the release of the June Pixel Feature Drop, an update that includes the latest security fixes and brings a range of new features.

Android Auto 9.7 Stable Update

This delay in the Pixel Feature Drop could catalyze Google’s change in release strategy for the upcoming version of Android Auto. Google may have some surprises in store, not just for the Pixel series smartphones but also for Android Auto. With version 9.7, Google may deviate from the usual Beta release and adopt a different development approach.

Samsung apps that are available for all Android users

If so, we can expect Android Auto 9.7 to become available on compatible devices shortly. However, considering the known issues with Android Auto, we hope that Google has thoroughly tested and resolved any potential bugs before releasing the stable version.

If you wish to check for the update on your device, you can rely on the Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can manually install the latest version by downloading the APK file from APKMirror.

Android Auto 11.8 brings redesigned settings for giving a whole new look

Google has recently introduced Android Auto 11.8 stable updates, but with the update, it doesn’t reveal any information about the newly arrived features or improvements for the application. But with the latest development, there are some reports about the information that the interface has been redesigned for the settings.

According to the information, Google plans to introduce a new settings menu design as the default with the latest version. Previously, Android Auto users had the option to see at the top of the settings menu how the car was connected. In it, the user could observe a section for customizing the launcher, “Hey Google ” detection, a Google Assistant option, forecasts, some specific system options, and various details relating to the safety and legal area.

Now, moving firmware companies have brought software that adopts the latest Material You guidelines. In this way, the colors change depending on the ones chosen by users, and dark mode is supported. These elements represent great news for Android Auto.

However, it’s important to point out that the settings menu itself hasn’t actually changed much, but with minimal change, it has created a new perspective on the settings. First, the graphic at the top of the page has been removed and replaced with the “connect a car” button. Along with this, various sections relating to the start, display, assistant, maps, messages, and much more have also been introduced.

The Samsung Music App is getting a new update that permits quick launch with the Galaxy Buds tap-and-hold gesture smoothly.

A plethora of wireless wearable earbuds are available, but somehow Samsung’s Galaxy Buds are leading the market with their high-end features and functionalities without any limitations. To enhance the users’ audio experience, the giant rolled out a new update for the Samsung Music app, but this update is hinting at what’s been missing.

Samsung Galaxy Buds allow users to control music playback with taps, which they can then customize in the Samsung Music application, which is available on both the Galaxy Store and Google Play Store. The giant has designed the Galaxy Buds with the support of tap-and-hold gestures for less frequent actions such as launching applications or activating voice assistants similar to Bixby or Google Assistant.

The reports say that this update permits you to quickly launch the application using the tap-and-hold gesture on Galaxy Series earbuds. However, the updated Samsung Music application does not have its own streaming service, but interested parties can link their Spotify accounts to it. To quickly launch the Music application, this asks you to open the Galaxy Wearable app on the device your earbuds are paired to.

Then, authorize touch controls, touch and hold, and assign either earbud to launch Samsung Music when the gesture is detected. Integration between the Samsung Music app and the company’s connected earbuds should have been the default behavior from the factory.

Samsung provides several customization options for its Galaxy users. To give more control, it has introduced multiple Good Lock applications. Theme Park is also one of them, which provides several options to customize the themes. To bring about improvements, the company frequently releases new updates.

Theme Park has started getting new updates with version number 1.1.00.08. It has brought several changes, like changing the previous APK installation method to the devices and the theme application method, which resulted in three improvements.

Firstly, it makes theme creation and application speed faster; secondly, it provides the ability to edit and overwrite themes. Finally, it brings automation to reflect new icons for newly installed apps based on the current icon pack being used.

Along with this, Samsung has also officially said that due to these changes, “the theme application method” had to remove four features from the app. Here is what it described in the changelog:

  1. Remove ‘App’s theme settings’
  2. Remove ‘Color Palette Change’
  3. Theme Park> Theme> ‘Keyboard’>keycap Style deleted
  4. Theme Park>Theme>Home screen>Folder shape change deleted

If you are using a Good Lock-compatible Galaxy device, then you can now update Theme Park’s latest version simply via the Galaxy Store.
