Samsung SmartThings and Philips Hue strengthen their collaboration in UAE

With the goal of revolutionizing the smart home movie, music, and lighting experience, Philips Hue and Samsung SmartThings have expanded their collaboration. Philips Hue can seamlessly integrate into Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem by utilizing the company’s high-tech and connectivity expertise. Customers of Galaxy devices may now use their smartphones or tablets to sync their lighting with well-known music streaming services by utilizing the Hue Sync app, which has been integrated into the SmartThings platform.
When it took part in Samsung’s private “Smart Entertainment Home” event, which was hosted in Dubai, a top international lighting firm showed off its “Philips Hue” smart lighting system to consumers. The user-friendly application gives people the ability to create their own lighting scenes, select from more than 16 million colours, and set up automatic lighting changes. The flexible and extensible Hue Light-Strip Plus highlights architectural details with colourful, dynamic lighting effects. The Hue Play light bar effortlessly syncs to your favourite videos, music, and games to turn your entertainment space into a wonderland.
“Consumers expect lighting to be an essential feature of smart home living and are looking for a seamless, easy-to-use solution that enhances their everyday experience. Hue fulfils this commitment associated with the smart home ecosystem, thus enabling a seamless experience,” said the CEO of Signify Middle East (excluding Saudi Arabia), Gregory Lefebvre.
Further, Omar Sahib, Regional Marketing Director of Samsung Middle East and North America,“Philips Hue integration with SmartThings is the first solution of its kind to synchronise lighting and content from Samsung TVs without additional hardware, allowing SmartThings users to seamlessly control mood, viewing experience and express their mood from the comfort of their homes. For the first time, SmartThings users can sync content, music and lights to customise their perfect home.”
This creates a connected, synchronized home environment where lighting interacts with other smart devices to improve security and features for smart home automation.
