One of the most anticipated foldable smartphones of the year, Galaxy Z Flip 5, will finally be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked Event, which is just a week away. Galaxy Z Fold 5 will also be launched along with the Galaxy Z Flip 5, but compared to Fold 5, Flip 5 is expected to be the most massive foldable ever made by Samsung as the firm itself is focussing more on promoting the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in unique ways to reach out the customers.
Recently, the images of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 were leaked by tipster Roland Quandt on his Twitter handle. The reliable source, 9to5Google, shared the images before they were removed; the model was captured from different angles. According to the picture, the Flip 5’s cover display will be able to display widgets for the calendar, the messaging app with a full keyboard, Samsung Wallet, the time, the weather, call history, and battery status. The camera app seems to be supported by the cover screen as well.
Earlier, it was said that Samsung would join hands with Google for the optimization of Google apps, including navigation updates from Google Maps. These leaked images also revealed the feature that everyone was eagerly waiting for, the gapless design for both foldable. A picture of Galaxy Z Fold 5 being closed was shared by the tipster from the bottom angle. If there won’t be any gap when both sides of the foldable are closed, then the model will be more resistant to water and dust.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to have a 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, powered up by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU and a battery life of 3,700mAh with 25W rapid charging. Android 13.0 based on One UI 5.1.1 may equip the model.
