Samsung can drop One UI 6.0 beta anytime, starting with Galaxy S23
For a few years, Samsung has been following the same pattern of rolling out new One UI updates to its devices, so on the basis of past records, the company is all set to reveal the new generation One UI, i.e. One UI 6.0. However, initially, for testing purposes, the Korean giant will release it in small parts as beta updates. It is expected that the first beta update will be available in the next few days.
The first One UI 6.0 beta update will be available for the Galaxy S23 devices
Whenever Samsung has to release any fresh One UI update, it always chooses the latest flagship devices; more specifically, it always starts with new Galaxy S series devices; so on that note, by following this criteria, the Galaxy S23 is the obvious contender of getting the first beta update before any Galaxy devices.
Samsung has made a new section called “One UI 6.0” on its online forums for people in India and the US. We can confirm this for India, but we’re not sure about the US yet. They plan to let Galaxy S23 fans in these countries try out the beta version of Android 14 and One UI 6 when it becomes available.
Samsung has also made new forum sections for the One UI 6.0 Beta Program for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. These forums are currently empty, but they can be found on Samsung’s official websites for India and the US. This suggests that Samsung is getting ready to start the One UI 6.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S23 series.
What to expect with the beta updates?
As said earlier, the beta software updates are part of the testing phase; in these updates, the company introduce all the features of the coming One UI update. However, it presents new changes or improvements in several parts, like in three or four software updates. These updates will be only available for users who will be enrolled in the beta program from their devices; while updating the device with the new beta update, users will also be able to give feedback directly to the company.
For starters, the One UI 6.0 will be a significant update for Samsung smartphones; as per the earlier reports, the new One UI update will improve multitasking and several existing functions of the devices; along with this, it is expected that the update will also introduce some new features like multiuser profiles, passkeys for native apps, emoji wallpaper generator, native app lock and One UI boot animation.
These Galaxy devices will get One UI 6.0 beta update after Galaxy S23
Samsung has already issued the policy of giving at least four major updates to its high-end devices, so based on that policy, several devices which are released in the period of last three years are already eligible to get the One UI 6.0 beta update, including Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
After successfully testing the beta updates to the mentioned devices, the Korean giant will unveil its full-fledged update (stable update) to the devices. To get the information on stable update eligible devices of One UI 6.0, click here.
