It’s August and Galaxy A33 5G is still getting the July 2023 update
Samsung has already rolled out the August 2023 security update for its Galaxy devices with Galaxy S20FE. Meanwhile, Galaxy A33 is still receiving July 2023 security updates in India.
Notably, the Galaxy A33 5G is now getting a new update in India. The device is now getting the July 2023 security update for now. Users can easily identify the update by the firmware version number A336EDXS7CWG2. It comes in a size of 426.95MB.
The July 2023 security patch is one month older update which doesn’t bring anything new because it did not belong to the One UI. But it comes with over 90 fixes that resolve the security issues found in the last software versions.
For your information, Samsung has also added 38 more patches to improve Galaxy devices. Several internal functions are improved in these patches, including package installation, secure sim lock response, Audio system settings, transaction data profile and many more.
The Galaxy A33 5G was released in 2022 with Android 12. Recently, the device grabbed the One UI 5.1 update, the last major update. It is worth noticing that the device is eligible for five years of security updates for the generation of Android OS support, which means your device will get a major update up to Android 16.
