One UI 5.1.1 rollout will start on August 14th: Schedule, models, and features
Samsung pays a lot of attention to the software support of its devices. Just a few hours ago, the company announced the release program for the European market of the One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13, version of the custom interface that made its official debut on July 26 on the new foldable and tablets of the company, for the other devices of the company that are still supported.
One UI 5.1.1 is the latest One UI skin from Samsung. It is worth noticing that the company has been testing the skin for a few days; initially, some beta updates were spotted on some Galaxy Z series devices and in Galaxy tablets. However, with the latest launched devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series, the company has introduced them on One UI 5.1.1.
For your information, One UI 5.1.1 is specially designed to improve the user experience with foldable and large-screen devices from the South Korean giant, but now the company will expand the skin to more smartphones. According to the information, Samsung will start the One UI 5.1.1 rollout on August 14th. Before going to the list of devices, let’s know what you’ll get with the One UI 5.1.1 update.
What’s new in One UI 5.1.1?
As said before, the latest skin is mainly designed to optimize the user experience for large screens and foldable devices; however, now Samsung will also provide some significant improvements for other devices as well.
For Samsung foldables and tablets
With the One UI 5.1.1 update, Samsung will optimize productivity by enhancing multitasking and adding some new customization, layout, and functionality to edit images for Camera and Gallery. The new sleep tracking possibilities with new help content and layouts for easier tracking of progress and better habits with Samsung Health The Flex mode is also getting some enhancements.
And it has made more changes to simplify and improve the usability of devices.
For the Galaxy smartphones
The latest One UI 5.1.1 will improve several Galaxy devices internal functions through its stock applications, including Samsung Cloud, Multi-Control, Calls, Messages, Photos, Video Editor, Device Care, Weather, Storage, Samsung Health, Modes and Routines, Samsung Account, Quick Share, Galaxy Store, and PENUP.

- The Recents screen now shows the apps as they appear once they are started. You can easily find out if an application is open in split screen, full screen, or as a pop-up.
- Easily switch from pop-up view to split screen
- Press and hold the bar at the top of the pop-up window and drag the app to the side of the screen where you want it to show.
- Restore moved pop-ups to the end of the screen
- Drag an application into pop-up view to the end of the screen to move it out of the view. When you need it again, tap anywhere in the pop-up to return it to its original location.
- Flex mode
- Use the Flex Mode Panel with multiple apps
- Multiple applications can now be used with the Flex Mode Panel. Once the Flex Mode Panel is activated, just hold your phone up and tap the button that appears in the navigation bar.
- Enhanced multimedia controllers
- Buttons are now available on the Flex Mode Panel to go forward or backward by 10 seconds. If you tap the time bar, you will be shown the exact second you select to help you accurately find the moment you want.
- Customize the toolbar
- Create your own layout to quickly access features such as Split Screen View, Screen Capture, and more. Tap and hold an icon on the Flex Panel toolbar to reorder icons or insert or remove them from the toolbar.

- Share with contacts
- You can now send files to your contacts at any time, even if they are not nearby.
- Share files privately
- Protect your private content when sharing. You can set due dates for the files you send, cancel sharing at any time, and prevent recipients from saving or sharing them.

- It provides more information about apps that use your phone’s memory by allowing you to turn off the ones that are using too much of it.
- Change your mode from the Lock Screen
- Switch from the Sleep Mod, to the Driving Mod, or others directly from the Lock Screen.
- Customize your layout in Samsung Internet
- When you choose to show the address bar at the bottom of the screen, the favorites bar and tab bar will also be shown at the bottom.
- Once the upgrade is complete, you will not be able to downgrade to the previous software version due to security policy updates.
