Galaxy S23 carrier-locked and unlocked models receive August 2023 update in the US
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series is the latest flagship device in the Galaxy S lineup. The device is equipped with several high-end features, which make it more special and interesting. Due to its capabilities, the company has initially released the One UI 6 beta update in select countries. Now the company is rolling out the August 2023 patch in the US.
The update is now available for both locked and unlocked variants of devices. Users who own the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware versions S911USQU1AWGH, S916USQU1AWGH, and S918USQU1AWGH, respectively.
Meanwhile, the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are getting the update with firmware version numbers S911U1UEU1AWGH, S916U1UEU1AWGH, and S918U1UEU1AWGH, respectively.
The August 2023 security update includes new security enhancements for the devices. The patch improves the internal functioning of the devices. Along with this, the new update brings a dedicated 2X Zoom toggle in the stock camera app; however, to access this feature, you have to update the Camera Assistant app.
