One UI 5.1.1 is now live for Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 in Asia

Samsung has rolled out a new patch update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. These devices have already received the One UI 5.1.1 update in other parts of the world, including the US and Europe. Now the company is expanding the update to the Asia region.

The latest update for the third-generation foldables is now live in two Asian countries, including India and Malaysia. Users can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers. For the Galaxy Z Fold 3, it is coming with the number F926BXXU5FWH5, and for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, the update is carrying the different version number F711BXXU6FWH3.

One UI 5.1.1 is one of the significant updates for foldable devices. In this new iteration, the company has brought many new improvements to several functions, such as multitasking, taskbars, Flex Mode, quick sharing, Samsung Health, and more.

Apart from enhancements under existing system-level apps, the company has also updated the drag-and-drop feature, which helps to move files from one folder to another. Now users can use the device while charging other devices with wireless battery sharing, and the device’s memory management is also improved.

Galaxy Z Fold 2 gets new features with One UI 5.1.1 update

The new update for the devices also brings the latest patch, August 2023, which includes new fixes for security vulnerabilities. According to the official documentation from Samsung, the new update includes 85 fixes that are included by Google and Samsung together. It is worth noticing that the fixes included by Google resolve issues found in the Android OS, while Samsung has exclusively brought some fixes that resolve issues found in the Galaxy devices.

Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 in 2021. These devices come with Android 11 preinstalled. Then, gradually, both of the devices got major updates. Currently, these devices are running on the Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1. These devices are eligible for two more updates in the future.

According to Sammobile, the April 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A54 is getting updated in Argentina, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Thailand, the Philippines, Uruguay, and Vietnam. In Chile and Thailand, the update is coming with the firmware version number A546EXXS7BXD4.

The Galaxy A34 is grabbing the April 2024 security patch update with the firmware version number A346EXXS6BXD6 in the Philippines, while in other countries including Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the UAE, and Tunisia, the update comes bearing firmware version A346EXXS6BXD7. In more countries, including Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, the phone is getting a new update with firmware version A346EXXS6BXD9.

The April 2024 security patch belongs to the security update menu, which doesn’t bring any new features but will provide some fixes that enhance the overall security mechanism of the Galaxy devices. In a nutshell, the update will bring more than 40 fixes for addressing issues related to the system settings.

Galaxy Z Flip 5G gets April 2024 security patch in the USA

Samsung has recently introduced the April 2024 security patch to several Galaxy Z Flip 5G devices in several countries,including Australia, Canada, and some European countries. Now the US units of the device are getting the update.

The locked version of the Galaxy Z Fllp 5G is getting an April 2024 security patch update with the firmware version number F707USQS7IXC1. As of writing, the update has been spotted on the Sprint network. Meanwhile, the unlocked units for the device come with the firmware version number F707U1UES7IXC1.

The new update for the April 2024 security patch doesn’t bring any new features, but, being a security update, it will enhance some internal functions and aim to provide some improvements for the update.

For your information, the April 2024 security patch fixes more than 40 fixes; specifically, Google has introduced 27 fixes that will improve Android OS functionalities. Along with this, Samsung has also added 17 fixes that will enhance the functionalities for Galaxy devices exclusively.
