Samsung Rolls Out Auracast Paired Feature for Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with New Firmware
Last month, Samsung announced that it would add Auracast broadcast audio technology to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. So the Korean giant is now rolling out a dedicated new update for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. It is one of the significant updates that is coming after two months. If we talk about the last update, the company improved the call sound and added high ambient sound, which was quite a useful update for the users. Now, with the latest update, the company has added the Auracast reception function.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro gets Auracast functionality
Samsung has rolled out an update for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, which gives Auracast functionality. In case you are not familiar with Auracast, in simple words, it is a new Bluetooth-integrated technology that enables users to broadcast anything and can be easily heard on the receivers. In other words, Auracast allows devices like smartphones, laptops, televisions, and public address systems to broadcast audio to speakers, earbuds, or hearing devices.
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is getting a new update in South Korea
The Auracast is the latest Bluetooth technology. So Samsung has recently brought the update to South Korea. Users can identify the latest update by the firmware version number, R510XXU0AWI2. It is available in a 5.88MB software package. The Korean giant will expand the update to other regions in the next few days.
How to update
Before going for an update, make sure your earbuds have at least 60% battery. If it is, then follow the below steps.
- Open the Galaxy wearable app on your connected phone or tablet.
- Now select earbuds.
- Go to “Earbuds Settings.”
- At the bottom of the menu, select “Earbuds software update.”
