Samsung brings new security update for Galaxy A13, Galaxy A21s and Galaxy M02

Samsung is now rolling out its September 2023 update for its midrange and affordable Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A13, Galaxy A21s, and Galaxy M02. Due to their minimum price range, the company has listed them in the less frequent update category; therefore, they are getting last month’s update now. While other high-end devices have already grabbed the same update in early September.

Notably, all three devices are getting new updates in different regions. The Galaxy A13 is grabbing the September 2023 patch in several Asian and Middle Eastern countries, including Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, and Pakistan. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Tunisia, and Turkey Meanwhile, the Galaxy A21s is getting the new update in several countries around the world, including Australia, Austria, Cambodia, the Caucasus countries, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

Along with them, Samsung has also pushed the same update for the Galaxy M02 in several South Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. For identification of new updates for all three devices, Galaxy A13, Galaxy A21s, and Galaxy M02 users can check these firmware version numbers: A137FXXS3CWI3, A217FXXSADWI1, and M022FXXS3BWH1, respectively.

The September 2023 update brings more than 60 fixes that improve the security mechanisms of Galaxy devices. Along with the security fixes, the update may also bring some internal functional enhancements that will make the user experience more smooth.

On these three devices, the Galaxy A13 will get Android OS 14. However, other devices will still get new updates, but they are no longer eligible for any major updates.
