Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite gets October 2023 security update
Samsung is actively expanding the October 2023 update to eligible Galaxy devices. Now, with the latest development, Samsung has rolled out the update for one of the older tablets, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. It is the first device in its segment to get the latest security patch, while earlier the update was released only for several Galaxy smartphones.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is now receiving the October 2023 update with the firmware version number P619XXS4BWI1. It is currently limited to some Latin American countries, including Brazil, Argentina, and Guatemala. It is worth noticing that the update has been spotted as live for the LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab S6 but is expected to be available for the WiFi variant in the next few days.
The October 2023 update is a standard security patch that doesn’t include any extra features for the device; it only brings some general improvements for the internal functions of the devices, which ultimately boosts the security of the Galaxy devices.
According to the official documentation, the latest security patch update includes nearly four dozen fixes, and from those, Google has included 34 fixes that improve the functions depending on the Android OS. Samsung has added 12 fixes that bring enhancements to the internal functions of its Galaxy devices. In simple words, if you update your device to the latest security patch, it will give your device an extra layer of safety by preventing malware.
If you are using the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in those countries mentioned above, then you can easily update your device to the latest update by following these steps: First, go to the system settings, then choose the software update menu and select Download and Install. As the update is available to all the units, it may take some time to reach your device. In this case, you can wait for a maximum of one or two days.

Notably, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ are receiving the update on the Verizon network with the firmware version numbers T878USQS7DXD1 and T978USQS7DXD1, respectively. With the latest update, the device will have proper consistency in terms of performance and security.
For your information, the April 2024 update will bring you more than 40 fixes, of which Google has added 27 that enhance the Android OS functionalities. Along with this, Samsung has also added 17 more fixes that exclusively improve the functioning of the Galaxy devices.

The latest beta update is now live for all the eligible Pixel devices; more specifically, it has started rolling out to the Pixel 6 or nearby devices. The latest update is coming with the firmware version number AP31.240322.027. The latest update is coming with the same April 2024 security patch that has already arrived with previous updates. To check for the new version, you just need to go to the system settings, select software update, touch the system update, and tap the check for updates button. You may have to tap the button more than once to trigger the download, but if all this fails, then you can also manually install the update via official factory image files.
