Samsung is constantly rolling out the October 2023 patch to its Galaxy devices; this time, the US carriers are very active and have released the latest security patch to several devices. The Galaxy S21 is also one of them that has grabbed updates on the Sprint network and has now started receiving them on more US carriers and Canadian market.
October 2023 is a standard security patch update that doesn’t come with any new features or novelty; however, as it is a security patch update, it will come with some security fixes that will enhance the overall security of the devices. Additionally, the update may also bring some improvements that may enhance the performance and stability of the devices.
According to the official documentation update, there are nearly four dozen fixes introduced, of which 34 were added by Google, which resolved the issues related to the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung also added 12 more patches that exclusively fix the security vulnerabilities related to the Galaxy devices.
Notably, the new update for carrier-locked devices is now available on more carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, Xfinity (Comcast), and Spectrum Mobile.
