The October 2023 update doesn’t include any special features; it is a standard security patch update that only aims to get enhancements for the security of Galaxy devices. According to the official documentation, there are nearly four dozen fixes introduced, of which 34 were added by Google, which resolved the issues related to the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung also added 12 more patches that exclusively fix the security vulnerabilities related to the Galaxy devices.

The latest update may also bring some improvements that enhance the overall performance and stability of devices. It is worth noting that the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S20 FE devices have received the One UI 5.1 skin upgrade as their last significant update. The Galaxy S20 FE is no longer eligible for any major updates, but the Galaxy S21 FE will continue to receive Android updates for three more years.
