Threads to bring two new features

Instagram developed Threads, a text-based social networking app, to take on X, previously known as Twitter. After being released on July 5, 2023, the new social app became the most successful social media platform launch in history, surpassing 150 million downloads in no time. Like X, Threads is a social sharing platform that facilitates text-based debate and idea exchange. Despite an uneventful start to its existence, CEO Mark Zuckerberg continues to fully support Threads, the newest social network to emerge as a rival to Twitter. In fact, Facebook’s founder recently declared that users would be able to include polls and GIFs when posting posts.

Looking at the polls, users will be able to add up to four-choice alternatives under a countdown timer that will show them how much time is left to cast their vote. You must vote once the allotted time has passed in order to access the survey results, and Threads will notify you when the allotted time has passed. Adding GIFs to your post has become so easy. All you need to do is click the icon and pick from Giphy’s results. Trending GIFs will be displayed right away, but you can continue to use the search box to find more.

Other than this, one feature that sets Instagram threads apart is “Auto Status.” Their status is automatically updated depending on the activities and location. With this, you can instantly share information with others. In addition to photographs and 5-minute movies, users may now include links in their postings. Additionally, uses have other forms in which to convey their communications. Engagement within the Threads community is encouraged by the ability for users to follow and connect with friends and artists who have similar interests.
