After introducing the latest security patch to several smartphones in November 2023, the company has now brought the same security patch to smartwatches, which brings some improvements to the security of the devices.

If we talk about the security of the smartphone patch, it has come with 50+ patches, but as the smartwatches are built differently with fewer internal functions, they might have different patches, but it will be sure to give a proper fix for all the security vulnerabilities.

Currently, the November 2023 security patch is coming to the Galaxy Watch 6 series Bluetooth with firmware version numberR9*0XXU1AWK4. As of writing, the update has been spotted in South Korea, but it is expected that the company will introduce the update in more countries in the coming days.

One UI 6.0 Beta and Stable Updates Currently Available For Selected Galaxy Smartphones

The latest changelog of the device doesn’t reveal any other details of the update, but it is expected that with the new update, the device will get some more improvements in the working of the software and make it more stable.

To update the Galaxy watch to the latest software, you simply follow these steps: open the Samsung wearable app, tap the home tab, scroll down, tap about watch, choose the update Watch software option, and then tap Download and Install.

The Galaxy Watch 6 is the latest smartwatch lineup from Samsung, which was introduced back in July at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The latest watch series is equipped with the One UI Watch 5 and powered by the Exynos W930, the latest process specially designed for smartwatches. The company has also promised to give at least four major updates for the watches, which means you will get all the new features for at least four years.
