The Galaxy A53 and Galaxy S20 are starting to get the November 2023 update for the locked variants. It is worth noticing that Galaxy S20 devices are getting a new update on the Verizon network with firmware version number G98*USQS7HWJ1.

While the Galaxy A53 is getting the same update on multiple carriers with different version numbers, on the Verizon network, it is getting the update with version number A536VSQS9CWK4, and for Dish Wireless, it is coming with version number A536USQS8CWJ8. While on other carriers, including Comcast (Xfinity), US Cellular, and Spectrum Mobile, it is carrying version number A536USQS8CWK2. Additionally, it has already grabbed the update on T-Mobile and MetroPCS.

The November 2023 update is one of the latest security updates that is coming with a lot of new enhancements for the Galaxy devices. If we go into detail, the latest update is coming with more than 60 fixes that were added by Google and Samsung together. More specifically, the patches that are added by Google are the common patches that are available for every Android device, while the Samsung ones are the exclusive ones.

The update is now live for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy A53 users, so if you are also using any device, then you should start receiving notifications about the update. If it hasn’t arrived yet, you can also check it manually by going to the system settings, scrolling down to the software update button, tapping on the download and install menu, and waiting until it finishes searching. After that, if it shows a new update available, click on the download button.
