Samsung Galaxy S20 grabs November 2023 update in more countries, including more US carries

The Samsung Galaxy S20 is one of the most popular devices, but it is now no longer eligible to get any major updates, but the device is still eligible to get some security-related updates for at least one more year. So therefore, the company is regularly bringing new updates. Now,  with the latest development, it has started receiving new security updates in the form of the November 2023 patch.

Notably, the latest update for the Galaxy S20 has already been served to some locked units in the US and one in Europe, but now it has started expanding to more units, including New Zealand and the US. More specifically, in the US, the locked and unlocked units of the Galaxy S20 device are getting the update with firmware version numbers G98*USQS7HWJ1 and G98*U1UES7HWJ4, respectively. While in New Zealand, the update is available for the 4G units with the firmware version number G98*FXXSIHWJF.

The latest update is bringing new security-related enhancements for the devices. If we go into the details, according to the documentation, it will bring more than 60 fixes. More specifically, 49 patches are included by Google, and 15 fixes are added by Samsung, which exclusively enhance the overall performance of the devices.

Moreover, with all these patches, your device will become more secure and will be able to protect your data from newly defined malware or other external threats. Sometimes these updates are not limited to only security but also bring some other improvements for the devices, so it is always better to keep your device up-to-date.
