Samsung Might Introduce a Rugged Tablet with S-Pen Support
Samsung is reportedly planning to introduce an advanced mid-range tablet that will have a rugged design, especially for industrial purposes. The brand is all set to launch the successor to the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, which was introduced in the 2nd quarter of last year. And if so, then Samsung could probably name the latest tablet as the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro.
Some sources reveal that Samsung’s latest tablet has model numbers, including the SM-X300, which will potentially be a Wi-Fi-only model, while the other SM-X306B might be both the Wi-Fi+5G model and the tablet. The reports say that both models have successfully cleared the FCC certification procedure in the US.
In the meantime, the revealed documents also suggested that Samsung’s upcoming tablet will have 128GB of internal storage, massive 10,000mAh battery power, 15W fast charging capability, a microSD card slot, and most prominently, it’s also coming with S-Pen support.

The most interesting aspect of Samsung’s upcoming tablet is its capability of sporting the model number EJ-PT870. Other than that, the tablet also has Wi-Fi 6 connectivity support. Although the tablet is likely to be rugged, it might sport the IP68 ratings that make it water and dust resistant. On the flip side, the tablet might be potentially useful for users in a work or industrial area.
Furthermore, it’s not yet clear exactly what specifications Samsung’s latest tablet will hold, but if it’s a successor, then it might feature a good chipset, and it seems to have been equipped with One UI 6, based on Android 14.
