Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Active 2 back in 2019; it was powered by Tizen OS 184.108.40.206, and later it received three major updates until 2021, but then it was no longer eligible to get any major software updates. However, the company has chosen to provide some extra service for the users, and from time to time it has received some new features with a minor update, just as now it is getting a new update in the form of new watch faces.
Samsung serves new watch faces to retired watches
Samsung has recently added two new watch faces, including Stretched time and Perpetual which was came with Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch, to the Galaxy Watch 3 devices, and now it has expanded the update to the Galaxy Watch Active 2 as well. The latest update is coming with the firmware version number R820XXU1FWK2.
With the latest watch faces, the update also includes some new improvements for the watches, which make the sensor more stable, so you will get more accurate information about different parameters.
The latest update for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is now available; if you want to check, just follow the simple steps: Open the Galaxy wearable app on the connected Android smartphone, then select watch settings, then open the software update menu, then select the download and install option. If it shows download available, tap on install now.
