January 2024 security update for Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 expanding in more regions

Yesterday, Samsung started rolling out the latest security patch, January 2024, for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices. The update was spotted in the European region, but with the latest development, it is now rolling out in the Asia region as well.

Notably, both of the devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, started receiving the update with the firmware version numbers F936BXXS4EWL5 and F721BXXS4EWL5, respectively. The update was specifically spotted in India and is expected to be available in more countries in the coming days.

The January 2024 patch software update is one of the latest patches that will bring some enhancements for improving the overall security of Galaxy devices. As of writing, Samsung hasn’t revealed the latest security patch, but when it is revealed in its monthly bulletin, we will immediately share it with you.

If you are also using any of the devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, in India, then you can get the update by following these simple steps: First, open the settings, go to the software update menu, tap on the download and install option, wait for some time to finish the search, and if it shows an update available, then hit the download button.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphones were launched back in 2022. These devices came with Android 12 preinstalled. Later,  these devices also grabbed two new major updates in the form of Android 13 and Android 14, and as the company has promised to make four major updates available, there will be two more major updates in the future in the form of Android 15 and Android 17.
