Galaxy S24 Ultra Full Review

Samsung has released the Galaxy S24 series for flagship smartphone fans. This time, the company hasn’t showcased any major changes in the design of the devices, but this time it is fully focused on bringing some significant functional changes for the devices, like the flat screen, which is made on different OLED technology, which is more power efficient.

Another noticeable change is the titanium frame, which makes the Galaxy S24 Ultra lightweight. However, for more freshness, the company has brought the devices in five different color variants.

Galaxy S24 Ultra Colors are here

As you know, Samsung hasn’t brought any major changes in the design of the Galaxy devices since the Galaxy S21, especially the Ultra series, so to attract the attention of every customer, the company has always brought some new color variants of the devices. In the previous ultra variant, the Galaxy S23, the company brought the device in five colors, including Cream, Phantom Black, Green, and Lavender.

Samsung has brought the latest Galaxy S24 Ultra in seven color variants, including yellow, violet, black, grey, orange, green, and blue. As the company always names the colors according to some devices, this time every color has a prefix like titanium. Let’s understand what you should buy.

Titanium Black

Nowadays, many people go with simple solid colors, which may also give a professional or formal look to their style, and here, titanium black suits well.

Titanium Gray

Titanium Gray is one of the closest colors to black, but it brings a different elegant vibe. Still, it is one of the less glittery colors, so if some don’t prefer black, then Grey will be a nice option.

Titanium Yellow

Titanium yellow is the latest color in the Galaxy ecosystem. It is an aggressive color that has a completely shining vibe. If you are the one who wants a smartphone with a unique color, then you should definitely go with this.

Titanium Blue

Titanium blue is the exclusive color from Samsung; it is a dim color. If you want a bright, dim color that has a unique color gradient, then you can put the blue color on your bucket list. This color may remedy the icy blue option that was available for the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Titanium Orange

Titanium is another exclusive color from Samsung, which means you will get this variant directly from the Samsung Shop. This is also a calm core, which brings a cool and new vibe. It is a remix version of the Galaxy S23 FE’s tangerine color.

Titanium Violet

The violet color for the Galaxy S24 Ultra can be said to be the darker version of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. If you like dark shades, then the titanium color may be the best; it will suit the professional environment as well.

Titanium Green

Titanium Green is also an exclusive color; it’s like the same color that was introduced in the Galaxy S23 Ultra, named Lime, but this time the color is darker. It may be the perfect choice for those who want a light color with a unique gradient.

Samsung has already started pre-order registration for Galaxy S24 series devices. If you want to purchase the devices with some more benefits, then you can check the offers here.

Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 Update on Hold Due to Potential Boot Issues

Finally, Samsung started distributing the waiting One UI 6.1 update to more Galaxy flagship devices that debuted in 2021 and 2022. Now a total of 19 Galaxy devices have gotten their Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update.

Samsung has added new devices to the list of One UI 6.1, which are as follows:

  • Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Flip 3.

The Galaxy S22 series, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, is on the list of devices getting One UI 6.1, but it appears that Samsung may have delayed the rollout due to errors a few users have faced after updating their smartphones.

It is reported that the rollout was paused because some Galaxy S22 units may fail to boot or unlock after the update has been installed. However, users on the Samsung Community forums in Korea, the only market where One UI 6.1 has been released for now, don’t appear to have run into issues themselves.

However, Samsung has yet to officially confirm that it has paused the rollout and even acknowledged any issues, so at the moment, it’s not exactly confirmed that the update has been taken off the air. The Galaxy S22 series owners who didn’t get the One UI 6.1 update yet might want to wait for more details to come out before proceeding with the installation.

If the users are afraid of the issue and want to avoid the risk, they might consider waiting until the Korean giant fixes these problems before installing the update.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Rumors Hint at No Battery or Charging Upgrades

Published

Samsung has kept the same battery capacity for the flagship devices while also sticking to the same fast charging speed. If we look at the Galaxy S Ultra devices from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the company has stuck with 45 W charging and the same 5000 mAh battery. According to the latest report, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may also use the same battery and specifications.

Previous, it was rumored that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could be equipped with stacked battery technology, which could lead to maximizing the component cost, but now, according to an X user named Sawyer Galox, it is reported that the Korean giant will skip this hardware change on the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra to save on component cost.

Along with this, the tipster also expressed his disappointment with Samsung’s take on the unchained hardware. He adds that users who want to buy the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra should keep their expectations low with the battery performance, as Samsung will keep the specs the same with the 500mAh battery and the 45W.

However, the company will also introduce its latest device with new chipsets that may provide improved optimization, which may provide some long-lasting battery life, but it will not provide any improvement in charging.

Samsung plans to implement its dual chipset strategy for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6

Samsung is preparing to introduce its next-generation foldable device, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, given that the new smartphones in the Z lineup typically launch between July and August, some rumors suggest that the company might host the next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024. Despite the date being more than three months away, numerous details have surfaced online.

According to recent reports, Samsung plans to implement its dual chipset strategy for the foldable, mirroring the Galaxy S series lineup, where some models of the Galaxy S base and Galaxy S+ devices feature Snapdragon, while in other markets, they feature Exynos.

The next foldable lineup rumoured to come with multiple chipsets; for example, the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s last Geekbench listing showed that it has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. However, this processor is already one year old, so there are fewer expectations that it could be available in the main models. However, if a rumor proves to be accurate, it could potentially be available for the FE variant of the devices.

For your information, the rumors have revealed that Samsung could introduce two new versions of the foldable devices with the brand names ‘FE’ and ‘Ultra‘, so to make the difference, it may introduce them in separate chipsets. If it provides the older chipset for the FE version, then it will be successful in cost-cutting and releasing the device at a low cost.
