One Ui 6.1 Release Date

Samsung unveiled the latest One UI 6.1 skin alongside the Galaxy S24 series, and internal testing has already commenced on the Galaxy S23 Series, showcasing the integration of AI features such as generative wallpapers, battery protection, Cricle Search, and an AI keyboard.

One UI 6.1 Android 14 comes pre-installed on the Galaxy S24 series. One UI 6.1, like One UI 6.0, will operate on Android 14 as scheduled. This new edition will feature many fun innovations and enhancements, some of which will also be available for earlier Galaxy phones.

Owners of Samsung devices wondering which models will receive One UI 6.1 can expect that all devices slated for Android 14 and One UI 6.0 will also receive the next interface version.

That said, at the moment it is still too early to have an official list from the Korean giant but it is possible to make predictions based on what has been Samsung’s policy in recent years.

Now to check what devices will be eligible and run along with the Android 14-based One UI 6.1. For a software upgrade that is scheduled to be released starting next few weeks, it is quite hard to determine the list of eligible devices accurately. However, we can expect that the devices that were all eligible to get One UI 6.0 may have high chances of getting the next update from One UI 6.1. Also, for the devices that will have their OS update end with Android 14, One UI 6.1 will be the last major update.

Will there be a beta testing phase for One UI 6.1?

Every year for significant new Android and One UI updates, Samsung hosts a beta program; however, it is rarely used for smaller One UI updates. We cannot completely rule out the prospect of receiving a One UI 6.1 beta program, though, since Samsung permitted a small number of customers to test One UI 5.1.1 prior to its official release, despite the fact that version 5.1.1 was mostly restricted to the company’s foldable phones and tablets.

As for One UI 6.1, a large number of AI features are expected, as it is stated that the Galaxy S24 series is said to be the smartest smartphone. The Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy Z5 series, like recent premium releases, will surely get the One UI 6.1, where we can anticipate a lot of AI-integrated camera enhancements.

Earlier this month, Samsung officially announced that it will provide one UI 6.1 update to the 2022 flagship device in May. But now the company has surprisingly started rolling out the update to one of the midrange Galaxy A23 devices.

The Verizon network has spotted the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A23, with the firmware version number A236VSQU3CXD3. It has also brought the latest security update in the form of an April 2024 security patch. With the latest update, there are several new features introduced that will add some new features and enhancements.

In detail, the latest update for the Galaxy A23 5G introduces a new battery protection feature that allows users to manage the application’s battery charging to prevent battery damage. There are some new changes in the clock customization, gallery, and Samsung account sections. It is important to note that there is no AI feature arriving in this update.

The update will also enable call continuity, mid-conversation device switching, and seamless communication across any device, such as a Galaxy table, computer, or watch, all connected to the same Samsung account. A small but important addition is a new toggle in the mobile network that allows users to turn off 5G if they don’t need to connect to the update.

If you are using the locked version of the Galaxy A23 on the Verizon network, then you can now update it to the latest version simply by going to the system settings and tapping on the software update. If it shows a new update available, then tap on the download button.

Good Lock Multistar Update

Samsung Multistar is one of the fresh Good Lock modules that provides several new features that allow us to conveniently personalize the multi-window settings, which can improve the experience of multitasking on smartphones and tablets.

Samsung has now rolled out a new update for Multistar with version number 7.1.33. In the latest software update it has brought a new function ‘Maintain Slip Mode’ function, it allows users to keep the screen view active even after closing and reopening apps to enhance productivity on large screens.

Along with the introduction of new features, the latest software update will also improve the navigation bar’s visibility, making it easier for users to manage their devices. Additionally, it resolves a problem where the deletion of app data would cause the settings to reset.

If you are using a Good Lock-compatible smartphone, you can now uninstall MultiStar with the latest version via the Galaxy Store, or if you have already installed the MultiStar application, you can update it through the Galaxy Store. It is worth noting that the update is available for those who own Galaxy devices running on One UI 6.0 or One UI 6.1.

For starters, Good Lock’s MultiStar module offers a variety of useful options for multi-tasking functionality, such as the ability to launch games and apps through the external display of Flip series devices. It allows users to hide the status bar and navigation bar in the split-screen view, and similarly, there are a lot of features available that provide a whole new experience for managing multitasking.

Galaxy S22, Fold4, Flip4 Expected to Receive One UI 6.1 on May 3rd

Samsung has introduced Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update on the Galaxy S24 series which brings the Galaxy AI novelty, and then delivers it to 2023 high-end devices. Now the brand is all set to expand the range of updates by delivering it to more devices including Galaxy S22 series, fourth generation foldable, and Galaxy Tab S8 series.

Samsung has rolled out the One UI 6.1 update yet for nine Galaxy devices, now the reports are unveiling that the giant is all set to release this update on May 3rd in Canada for the list of Galaxy devices mentioned below –

  • Galaxy S22
  • Galaxy S22+
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4

This is being speculated by a Canadian network carrier, Fido, which is stating that the latest update is scheduled to be available for these devices on 3rd May in Canada. This update will bring the April 2024 security patch plus it is also expected to introduce the One UI 6.1 features.

Unfortunately, it should be noted that the Fido database does not provide further details and, therefore, at the moment there are no guarantees that the update to which the operator refers is own One UI 6.1, as it can also be an update with monthly security patches.

However, the Korean giant has not officially confirmed the exact date for the  Android 14-based One UI 6.1 release yet for these devices, but has already announced that soon it will happen in early May. Transparently, this update is much anticipated, since it will offer multiple generative AI features to these devices; for instance Circle to Search, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, and many more, and all of these are expected to arrive on Galaxy S22 series and rest of the devices mentioned above.

Noticeably, one Galaxy AI feature named Instant Slow-Mo is not arriving with this update for these devices, since this feature requires a powerful GPU and NPU, so bringing this feature to each Galaxy device is not possible.
