Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Tab S9+ grabbing February 2024 security patch in the US

Samsung is working continuously to expand the availability of the February 2024 security patch for Galaxy devices, and now, with the latest development, the company has started rolling out the February 2024 security patch for the Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

According to the information, the latest update for Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices is available in the US. More specifically, the Galaxy Tab S9+ is getting a new update for the locked units that are locked to Verizon; it is carrying the firmware version number X818USQS1BXA8. 

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is also getting an update on the locked variant, which is bound to some carriers, including T-Mobile and MetroPCS. The update is coming with the firmware version number F721USQS4EXAD. More carriers are expected to have it available in the next few days. Earlier, the device had already grabbed the update in Europe.

The latest update will not provide any significant features, but it will provide some new features that will be available for new security-related enhancements. Going into details, there are more than 60 fixes that will improve the Android OS, and it will also provide some exclusive improvements for Galaxy devices.

Moreover, the update may also provide some new improvements for the performance and stability enhancements for the devices, so if you are having any issues with the last update available, then you should update your device to the latest software version.

If you are using the Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Galaxy Tab S9+, which are locked to the above version, then you should start getting new update notifications on your devices, but in case you haven’t received the notification yet, you can also check it manually. To check the latest update, you can go to the software update menu through the system settings.
