These Samsung Galaxy Devices will Get Auracast Support With One UI 6.1
Exciting news for the Galaxy owners: you are getting Auracast support. Finally, Samsung finally confirms that it has decided to offer Auracast support to older Galaxy smartphones as well as tablets.
Basically, the Auracast transmitter transmits a single audio broadcast so that a variety of in-range Auracast receivers can join. Now Samsung is delivering this support to older Galaxy devices to enhance the users’ experience as per their convenience.
Here’s the question: will all the older devices get this Auracast support?
So, the simple answer is that only the Galaxy devices that are eligible for the One UI 6.1 update will get this Auracast support. And this is being speculated by a press release in which Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Buds update as well as the Auracast support for the older Galaxy devices that will be supported on the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series, along with the upcoming One UI update.
Last year, Auracast was introduced for Samsung TVs and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. It just permits users to turn their device into a shared radio station able to broadcast across connected devices by leveraging Bluetooth LE Audio. And again, the brand has introduced the same features on the Galaxy S24 series.
So for this new support, the owners of the eligible Galaxy devices have to wait until the One UI 6.1 update gets rolled out. Once the feature rolls out, users should be able to access it by following these steps: go to Settings >> Bluetooth >> three-dot menu >> Broadcast Sound Using Auracast.
