Google has developed a new feature for Android devices that provides access to using a smartphone camera as a webcam. This feature comes with Android 14. However, Samsung has unveiled this feature for its Galaxy devices with the One UI 6.1 update, but it is not accessible because Microsoft hasn’t brought the support until now. But according to the information, Microsoft has also enhanced the webcam feature for Windows 11 in the coming days.

To use the Android device as a webcam on Windows 11, you need to install the latest version of the Link to Windows application on your devices. For your information, the latest version of the application is 1.24012. You have to install it on your Android devices that are running on Android 9.0 or above.

Now, when you finish installing, open your PC and go to the settings. Here, tap on the Bluetooth and devices option, select Mobile Devices, click on “Manage Devices,” and turn on the access to your Android phone.

With the new feature, users who don’t have the proper webcam can use their Android device’s camera as a webcam easily. While the USSR with on-device cameras can also use this feature to get better video quality,.

As far as availability is concerned, there is no confirmation available about when this feature will be usable for the public in the stable version of Windows. It is expected to be available in the next few weeks or months.
