One UI 6.1 Motion Photos Feature Coming to Older Galaxy models
The set of new features not only excited the new buyers but also brought more excitement for the old Galaxy device owners. Now a report claims that Samsung could expand an upgraded Motion Photo feature in the older devices.

According to the report, the Korean giant may introduce the Galaxy S24’s motion photo feature to many Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Tab S9 series. The company may introduce this feature with the One UI 6.1 update, although the exact timing is not confirmed.
If you don’t know about the new motion photo feature, then here is some quick information: the motion photo feature helps you to caption a few seconds of action and also allows you to pinpoint which moment you want to preserve as a still frame. You can also share it with other people in the form of a video file.
If you want to use the feature, you just need to follow these simple steps: Open the camera app, go to photo mode, and turn on the motion photo feature. Now click the picture as usual. Then go to the Gallery app, tap on the edit button, click on the motion photo at the bottom of the screen, select the frame that you want to turn into a 12 MP still image, and then click on it. It is worth noticing that the thesis feature will not work with the nightography.
