Google Wallet Introduces Manual Pass Archiving

Google Wallet is getting a new utility option that will help users manually archive the passes that are no longer in use. Earlier, the archive option was there, but it was working automatically based on the expiration date of the card.

As you know, you can use any number of cards through Google Wallet, but in long terms, it becomes a mess when you have some unusable loyalty cards or other types of cards in the list. To get rid of this, you have the option to permanently delete a card from the list in the form of the “Remove” option, but it sometimes takes too much time, so to provide a solution, the company has introduced the manual archive option.

With this functionality, users will be able to archive those cards as well, which are not archived automatically because they have no expiration date or aren’t attached to Gmail, so they will also be archived now. When you archive manually, they will also be stored in the existing Archived section, which is located at the bottom of the wallet home screen, and from here you can also restore them.

The manual archiving and unarchiving option for Google Wallet has already been rolled out; it is expected to be available for all Android users through a new update, so if you want to access the new feature, you have to update the Google Wallet application from the Google Play Store.
