Galaxy A55 will not have Galaxy AI features even after having One UI 6.1 – Report
Samsung is this close to setting the stage on fire by debuting its latest mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A55.
Next week, on March 11, the Korean giant will officially unveil its latest premium mid-range smartphone. This time, fans will see dozens of notable hardware upgrades that deliver a more premium look to the smartphone. Let’s take a closer look at the new hardware upgrades on the Galaxy A55.
One of the most noticeable software upgrades is the body of the Galaxy A55. It is expected that the brand will offer a metallic frame. Although the Galaxy A54 was the first smartphone in the entire Galaxy family, It is expected that the brand will power the Galaxy A55 with the Exynos 1480. If the expectation comes true, then this will be the first mid-range device.
The upgraded Exynos 1480 will deliver an enhanced gaming experience along with a GPU based on AMD’s RDNA graphics architecture. Apart from this, it has also come to be known that the forthcoming Galaxy A55 could feature a brighter screen with stronger Gorilla Glass protection. However, it appears that many of the specs will remain constant.
Here’s the question: What about software upgrades?
At the moment, it’s not worth predicting any of the software changes and improvements, such as Galaxy AI and many more.
It is expected that this Galaxy A55 runs Android 14-powered One UI 6.1 out of the box. The official trailers for the Galaxy A55 reveal that it lacks Galaxy AI features. The giants are not adding an option to show the lock screen wallpaper on Always On Display to any flagship or mid-range phone that debuted before the Galaxy S24 series.
At the time, it is not exactly clear yet how many software updates the Galaxy A55 will get, whether the brand will add seven years of software policy or the ritual of four years of major OS updates and five years of security patches.
Since it appears that Samsung will be powered by the Exynos chip, somewhere that is not capable of handling high-end functionalities such as Galaxy AI features, that’s why the device lacks AI features.
