Android Auto is a dedicated car accessory that provides several types of functioning for drivers; specifically, they can easily do several types of Android ecosystem-related functions from the car head unit in a simple process without making extra efforts or using smartphones. However, Google has not successfully delivered a bug-free application for the users.

In every new update, there is some new issue that affects the user experience. Recently, the company introduced the latest Android Auto 11.5 beta update, and at the same time, users are starting to report overheating issues.

According to the report, some people have complained that they are getting overheating alerts immediately after the Android Auto launches, which seems to be a false alert, while others are claiming that their phones are literally getting too hot after they plugin phones. It is also worth noting that the overheating alert is also saying that the device is getting hot due to the camera or overbrightness, and that it should turn off the camera or screen.

However, there is no camera usage done, and there is also no background running happening. To fix the issue, some users tried to open and close the camera app, but it didn’t make any difference in the heating issue.

The overheating issue occurs when connecting Android Auto with the smartphone via cable, but some users report no overheating problems when using Android Auto with the AA wireless adapter.

Meanwhile, Google has also asked for phone logs to investigate the problems, but there is no further information available about them, while other traditional techniques like deleting the cache and the app’s date don’t have any impact. While from the Google side there is no official statement, the company may be doing the initial investigation, but there is no information available about when the fix will actually be available for the devices.
