Samsung Galaxy Ring Will Debut In August 2024: As Report Says
Samsung surprised its fan community by unexpectedly teasing its forthcoming Galaxy Ring at Galaxy Unpacked even in January, which is expected to make its debut in August 2024.
The Korean brand appears all set to expand its smartwearables area by debuting a new smart wearable device, the Galaxy Ring. Now the reports from Kroean outlets indicate that enough anticipated Galaxy Rings will be available to purchase in August 2024.
If the reports are to be believed, the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Ring will share the stage with Samsung’s next generation foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Flip 6, at the Galaxy Unpaced event this summer. The report also revealed that the brand has produced 400,000 units of the forthcoming Galaxy Ring and will adjust production numbers based on demand.
Apart from the launch date, there is a little hint of the price of this Galaxy Ring. Along with every major smartphone release, Samsung will temporarily raise its trade-in prices for Apple products to tempt iPhone users away. It is doing exactly what it is doing right now.
Noticeably, Samsung’s main competition is the Oura Ring, which starts at $300. With this prospect, it is expected that the company will at the very least match this price. Although Samsung has made it clear that there is no ongoing subscription to unlock specific features, such as Oura Ring,.
The reports state that the Korean giants will debut the Galaxy Ring without any medical device certification, which would put it into the “wellness” device category since certification with US and Korean regulators takes longer than the time it takes to create the wearable. So it is expected that the brand will add certain certified features after launch.
