Published

on

Holding a Samsung Galaxy smartphone in hand is like having a brand in your hand—that’s how a Galaxy smartphone makes customers choose Samsung instead of other Android smartphone brands.

Customers usually go to a new smartphone for an upgraded software version, unique features, decent design, user-friendly UI, excellent camera quality, long-lasting battery life, and high-end hardware, and fortunately, Samsung has the power package of all these novelties in its Galaxy smartphones.

Android and iOS are the two options to go with. And if you choose Android, then there’s a vast range of Android smartphone brands, out of which Samsung is our favorite, since it offers an almost different UI, features, specs, hardware, software, and experience. Not only this, but here we are mentioning a list of several reasons that surely make you think of switching to Samsung as your new smartphone brand.

Multitasking

Samsung is one of the brands that offers the strongest multitasking capabilities for its Galaxy smartphones. Actually, Samsung offers different options to use to do multitasking. For instance, back in 2012, it introduced Multi-Active Window Mode on the Galaxy Note II, and within each new generation of Galaxy smartphones, Samsung keeps refining the multitasking experience.

Although for using two or three applications at the same time, split-screen on Samsung using recent applications is one of the advantages the users should praise. There are many options for multitasking effortlessly by splitting the screen, such as Edge Panel and Pop-up View. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a new taskbar that is housed at the bottom of the display while you are working on applications. So, the thing is, as per convenience, from time to time, Samsung has offered the upgraded version.

Android App Ecosystem

Samsung offered a vast range of features to choose from. Basically, the Android app ecosystem includes a collection of connected products that can work together flawlessly, and the ecosystem includes smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The fact is that quality matters more than the quantity of applications. Also, apart from a few proprietary applications, it will appear that virtually all of their favorite business and entertainment applications are already downloaded on the new Galaxy phone.

Office Productivity

For enhancing office productivity on the Galaxy smartphone, Samsung collaborated with Microsoft to integrate the office on the latest Galaxy smartphones, which means that when users need to review a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file, they can make their edits, save them, and share them. This also means that their files are quickly accessible on OneDrive. Also, through this collaboration, Galaxy owners get the power to access their Galaxy smartphone right from their Windows PC.

Samsung DeX

The Korean brand provides lots of applications for making the work day easier as per the convenience of the users, of which Samsung DeX is one of the most convenient. Actually, this feature gives users the experience of working on a desktop just by connecting their mobile device to an external display device or a PC.

This Samsung DeX is available on the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, and the rest of the upper flagship smartphone devices. Plus, it is also available on at least Galaxy Tab S4 generation tablets and the rest of the upper tablets.

Long-Lasting Battery Breath and Power Sharing

One of the most common questions customers ask while buying a new smartphone is about battery life. Samsung’s latest Galaxy devices reduce those concerns with Super Fast Charging, which pulls up to 45 watts of power while plugged in and delivers hours of power just by charging for a few minutes.

It also offers an adaptive power-saving mode that offers multiple days of battery life without even reaching them by minimizing the applications and features they don’t regularly need. This is one of the strong reasons why one should choose Samsung over other smartphone brands.

Knox Security

Samsung Knox is a kind of security system that is built into Samsung devices. This actually helps by protecting data from threats such as hacking, cyberattacks, data leaks, and viruses. It is a comprehensive set of security features on both the hardware and software. Noticeably, it is trusted by governments as well as large enterprises.

Now on the most recent flagship phones, Knox Vault takes it to the next level by integrating tamper-resistant Secure Memory with a Secure Processor, Knox Vault, which permits users to safely store their most sensitive data—for instance, PINs, passwords, biometrics, authentication keys, Samsung Pass, and more—under lock and key.

Advanced Biometric Protection

Samsugn takes care of its users’ security as it offers advanced biometric protection, adding an extra layer of security. With this protection, no one else can pick up the device and get past the lock screen. Nothing will provide as effective a balance of security and user convenience as biometric authentication. Samsung has introduced the Ultrasonic fingerprint ID, initially on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, which uses an innovative in-display sensor for creating a 3D image of the fingertip.

Samsung Pass

For an extra layer of security and protection, everyone has to manage a large and growing number of login details as well as passwords, from social media accounts to business applications. To avoid scenarios like forgetting passwords or any other essential login details, Samsung introduced this feature. Samsung Pass is a free password management service that acts as a vault for login credentials.

Secure Folder

It is the facility that helps protect the most important data and applications. Samsung offers this Secure Folder, which permits users to separate their most sensitive personal applications and content and keeps all of it secure.

To open the secure folder, one must face additional authentication. The users can move applications and files within the Secure Folder and even have two instances of applications: one in the Secure Folder and the other on their main home screen.

Privacy Prioritized

Samsung has added multiple options that permit users to work and collaborate on the go in ways they never thought possible and in ways that are more crucially important than ever before in the hybrid and remote workplace. The Privacy Dashboard permits users to keep an eye on which applications have access to their camera, microphone, location, and contacts.

Noticeably, one can easily deny that permission if any application uses it in a way they are not comfortable with. A secure file-sharing technology built on the blockchain permits users to set time limits and expiration dates on shared files without even taking screenshots or resharing.

Find My Mobile Service

Sad to relate, if in case you misplace your phone and if you are sure that it’s nearby you, then Samsung offers a free Find My Mobile service that has the power to track your lost Galaxy smartphone using location information collected by Google and data passing through wireless networks.

For this facility, users must activate Find My Mobile; they can find their Samsung device from any web browser. If they ask Find My Mobile to “Send last location,” then they will be able to spot their device on a map, and if its location is moving, then they will get updates every 15 minutes.

My Files App

Samsung offers the My Files application just to ensure the content they collect stays organized, whether it’s stored on the device or in the cloud. Just sync the users’ OneDrive or Google Drive accounts to get access to all their files from a single application. Also, on the most recent Galaxy devices, users get the power to access network storage through FTP using My Files.

Task Automation

Samsung offers one of the most convenient features: task automation. With this feature, the brand is empowering users to build custom automation to automatically trigger multiple actions, which even includes notification alerts.

Smart home controls

With this facility, Samsung Galaxy owners can turn their home into a smart home. The Samsung SmartThings platform helps Galaxy users by alerting them when there’s unexpected activity in their home. They can set connected lights to turn on and off as people come and go. SmartThings works with a wide range of connected devices, which includes Ring video, doorbells, Google Home and Amazon Echo, Philips Hue lightbulbs, and many more.

Samsung Health

Beyond questions Health and wellness are the two essential things everyone cares about. And for enhancing the health monitoring experience, the Samsung Health application permits users to monitor their nutrition, track their fitness goals, and even practice meditating. The Samsung Health application is specifically more useful when it is connected to a Galaxy Smartwatch, which can also authorize productivity benefits in the workplace.

A Wearable Ecosystem

Samsung is one of the toughest competitors in the smart wearable tech industry, as it expanded its smart wearable area by introducing top-notch Galaxy Watches and Galaxy Buds. and is actively working and close to announcing the latest Galaxy Ring as well as the Galaxy Watch 6. It is expected that the forthcoming generation of Galaxy Watch 6 may be able to answer a call with a hand gesture, respond to emails automatically, and get real-time feedback, especially while on the go.

Excellent Camera

The camera was an essential part of the smartphone at the time. While going to a new smartphone device, one of the first things that customers ask about is the camera, and fortunately, Samsung offers the best camera setup as compared to other smartphone brands.

Samsung Galaxy devices have a range of camera configurations, all of which are designed to help even the most non-professional photographer take amazing shots. The latest Galaxy smartphone features Director’s Mode, allowing you to quickly jump between lenses and record with both the rear and selfie cameras at the same time. In short, Samsung offers a satisfactory camera setup.

Greater Customization

Every single time while unlocking the Galaxy phone, users will appear at the application icons, wallpaper, and widgets of the home screen. The device will permit users to customize their home screen with their own look and feel. Besides grouping applications into folders, adjusting themes, and also adding background images, they have the power to use the Quick Panel to find frequently accessed settings, for instance, brightness and Wi-Fi sound.

Decent Design

Samsung offers a vast range of designs for its Galaxy devices. Mobile devices arrive in many shapes, sizes, and feature sets. So while purchasing the new Galaxy smartphone, customers should not feel limited, especially as business professionals. For added convenience, Samsung has categorized its smartphones into different series, such as the flagship ones (the Galaxy ‘S’ series), the food labels (the Galaxy ‘Z’ series), the mid-range (the Galaxy ‘A’ series), and the affordable ones as well.

5G Readiness

Samsung never missed the chance to be a leader, as it already became a leader in 5G by introducing network technology across its flagship Galaxy devices as well as to mid-tier phones such as the Galaxy A53 and tablets such as the Galaxy Tab S9.

Phone-to-PC continuity

For delivering high-end productivity, we have dedicatedly introduced high-end flagship devices such as the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The recently launched Galaxy S24 is purpose-built to support high levels of productivity while on the go; they also combine with the other Galaxy lineup while users are in the office. Supported features such as Quick Share to one-tap send content from their phone to their PC. Access their mobile applications, make calls, respond to text messages, and easily transfer files—all of this without even needing to pick up their phone.

Easy Switching

The decision to upgrade the user’s smartphone should not come with any trade-offs, such as losing the content and applications they trust. The Samsung Smart Switch has the power to transfer, back up, and even restore everything the user wants on their new Samsung Galaxy smartphone smoothly and quickly. So one can easily switch from an old Galaxy smartphone to a new one without even worrying about losing data.

Powerful Business Performance Features

Samsung allows flawlessly and smoothly switching from video calls to integrated Microsoft and Google applications and back again with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The be-alright fast processor combined with massive internal storage and a large, adaptive display will help the users get more done from wherever they may be, so that they can always keep their business moving forward. The interested ones who want to get exclusive offers, which include volume pricing discounts and more, can sign up for a Samsung Business Account.

So there are the most effective reasons why one who is looking for their new smartphone should switch to the Samsung Galaxy, since Samsung offers almost all the features that should be in an upgraded smartphone, whether it is hardware or software, for enhancing the customers’ experience as per their convenience.

Apple Adopts Existing Technologies Pioneered by Samsung

Apple is now setting up to debut in the foldable market by introducing its first foldable iPhone to compete with Samsung.

Transparently, Samsung is leading the foldable market, but soon it will be tough to maintain the legacy since Apple is actively working on bringing its first foldable iPhone into the industry. The reports from Taiwan’s DigiTimes reveal that Apple has currently signed a display supply contract for foldable devices with Samsung Display.

However, earlier this year, a few reports reported that Apple dropped the idea of bringing a foldable iPhone because of some durability issues, at least for now. A new report said that somehow it appears that the Samsung Display has succeeded in meeting Apple’s demands for enhanced durability.

Initially, Apple is considering mass-producing a 20.3-inch and 8.2-inch foldable iPhone by the end of 2026. The Head of Samsung Electronics MX Business Division Development Team, Choi Won-jun, stated at the Galaxy S23 media briefing held during MWC 2023 that “Apple’s entry into the foldable phone market is very welcome,” adding, “It means that Apple also acknowledges the value of our market leadership, following China.”

On another note, Samsung Electronics restrained the lead in the AI smartphone image by introducing Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. As a result, it achieved its highest market share in the U.S. smartphone market in four years.

Samsung’s market share reached 31% in the first quarter of 2024, which is the highest since 2020, and the key reason behind this appears to be AI-based features. This success is credited to the Galaxy S24 attracting premium phone switchers and conquering market share from Google and TCL.

Now, as a strong competitor, Apple is also expected to enter the AI phone market with its next-generation iPhone 16 series, which is reported to be enabled with Apple’s “Ajax” generative AI model and supported by features in iOS 18. It is expected that details of iOS 18 will probably be unveiled at Apple’s WWDC in June.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra To Bring Fewer Lenses But No Loss In Quality

Published

The Korean Firm believes in quality over quantity! Samsung fans get ready for the new camera arrangement, as the giant is looking forward to dropping the ritual of four rear camera arrangements on the ‘S’ series ultra devices.

Dropping the four-rear camera concept doesn’t mean dropping the high-end camera result. Samsung has already started testing a Galaxy S25 Ultra prototype, and instead of housing four rear cameras, the device will have just three this time:

  • A main primary camera, a telescopic camera featuring a periscope lens, and an ultra-wide camera.

If the reports come true, then we have to say goodbye to the 10 MP 3x telescopic camera. The reason behind this appears to be that the Korean giant can use the new “primary” camera to generate 3x optical zoom with the same or improved quality.

This is being speculated by a post on X shared by a tipster who stated, “Galaxy S25 Ultra: Camera News.” Following this statement, he elaborates on the news. This time in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, three rear cameras will be housed instead of four, and the dedicated 3x zoom lens will be removed.

It is reported that the main camera will have the same resolution, but the low-light performance will be improved, and it will also be used for 3x zoom as well. For the periscope camera, Samsung is said to be testing variable zoom with two fixed focal lengths; the first focal length will be between 4x and 5x, whereas the second will be between 6x and 7x. It appears that Samsung will not have continuous variable zoom technology similar to what Sony has teased in the recent teaser video of its forthcoming Xperia 1 VI

The previous resorts already reported that the Galaxy S25 could feature three different configurations, including 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage, 16GB RAM + 512GB internal storage, and 16GB RAM + 1TB internal storage. It could feature the same 5000mAh battery capacity but is expected to bring a new functionality called “Battery AI” that will help to add 5% to 10% runtime to the battery life. It is also expected that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.

Although Samsung has not confirmed anything officially yet regarding the specs and features of the device, it will be interesting to see the new camera setup on the forthcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Sony Xperia 1 VI To Bring Higher Optical Zoom Than Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

Published

Sony is all set to introduce its forthcoming flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1 VI, on May 15, 2024, which is expected to bring a telephoto camera with an even higher optical zoom facility than Samsung.

Sony introduced its Xperia 1 V flagship smartphone in May 2023, featuring a camera with an optical zoom ranging from 3.5x to 5.2x, a bit higher than the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 5x optical zoom. Now it appears again that Sony is all set to defeat Samsung in the optical zoom game.

Sony teased the fans with a new teaser video, revealing that the Xperia 1 VI will have a telephoto camera with a focal length ranging from 85mm to 138mm. If Sony attaches a primary camera with the same focal length as the Xperia 1 V to the forthcoming Xperia 1 VI, which is 24mm, this means that its telephoto camera will offer an optical zoom of 3.5x to 5.75x more than a primary camera.

Vivo is also actively setting up to introduce its flagship smartphone, the X100 Ultra, and it is expected to have a higher optical zoom (7x) than the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is quite clear that, in the race for optical zoom, Samsung is running behind other smartphone manufacturers.

However, the Korean giant has already started gearing up for the Galaxy S25 series smartphone, and it is expected that the Galaxy S25 Ultra could arrive with a higher optical zoom or maybe bring back the 10x optical zoom of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
