Samsung expands March 2024 security update for Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 in more countries

As usual, Samsung has set a goal to distribute the March 2024 security patch to all eligible devices. To make it happen, the company is constantly rolling out the update to the devices; the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 devices have already received the update, and now the company is expanding it to more countries.

Samsung has started rolling out the March 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy S23 in Europe and India. It carries the firmware version number S91*BXXS3BXBD and weight around 395MB. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 series devices are getting the update in India with the firmware version number S92*BXXS1AXBN. Both of the devices are getting the update with a software size of nearly 400 MB, which indicates that the update may not bring any new features for the devices.

The March 2024 security update will bring more than 40 fixes that will surely help to get rid of the issues related to security vulnerabilities. Going into details, more than 40 fixes have been introduced; 35 were added by Google to address issues related to the Android OS, while nine more fixes were added by Samsung to bring enhancements to Galaxy devices exclusively.

If you are using the Galaxy S24 or Galaxy S23 device in the above-mentioned regions, then you should start getting the update notification on your device, but in case the notification has not arrived yet, you can also check it out manually by going to the software update menu through the system settings.
