The current year 2024 is already a record-breaking and countable year for Samsung, as its recently launched Galaxy S24series is outselling 2023’s Galaxy S23 series by 14% in the US.

In the US, Galaxy S24 sales are leading with 14%, not just in the US but also in the UK, Germany, and France. Although back in 2023, the fall was enough for Apple to celebrate becoming the world’s largest smartphone maker, surpassing Samsung for the first time in the past 13 years.

But now the brand has bounced back with its recently launched Galaxy S24 series this year. Although the demand for budgetable Galaxy smartphones appears cold, the demand for flagship Galaxy S series and foldable lineups is rising.

According to reports based on data from Counterpoint Research, Galaxy S24 sales grew by 8% as compared to last year’s Galaxy S23 in the first three weeks of its launch, as SamMobile revealed. It is known that in the home country’s market, the sales were even bigger at 22%. Meanwhile, in the US, Galaxy S24 sales grew by 14%.

The Galaxy S24 series includes three devices. Here we are mentioning the specific sales characteristics of each device in the series:

  • Galaxy S24 Ultra: 52% sales
  • Galaxy S24 (base): 27% sales
  • Galaxy S24 Plus: 21% sales

These metrics are appearing slightly lower as compared to the Galaxy S3 series, whereas the Ultra model accounted for 60% of the sales worldwide. The strong sales of the Galaxy S24 series should help boost Samsung’s profit margins, though it might not be enough for the brand to regain its top spot in the global tech market.

Apart from a modest upgrade over the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 seem to pack all the right upgrades to make consumers want them. The brand has delivered about 31.11 million Galaxy S23 units until January 2024, more than the 24.99 million Galaxy S22 units.
