Finally, Google Woke Up! It Secures Legal Right For ‘G’ Logo on Pixel Devices

G for Google, since day one, the brand has come into existence! But did you know the interesting fact that Google has never patented this design feature? 

Back in 2016, Google initially started its Google Pixel smartphone series, and now it has reached the Google Pixel 8. Until now, the brand has printed a ‘G’ logo on every smartphone, but the brand has never patented this ‘G’ design feature, due to which there are chances it could be replicated without any issues until yesterday. 

It is hard to believe that nobody inside Google has ever thought about a patent, despite it being a major thing. But now, finally, someone has woken up since the brand has decided to register the “G” logo found on Pixel devices. 

Here, ‘Patent’ stands for a legal right granted to an inventor for an invention that is new and useful. 

Now the reports reveal that, finally, Google decided to patent the trademark consisting of a stylized G on the back of a Google Pixel smartphone. It has come to light that the submitted documentation contains a sketch showing its logo placed centrally on the back of a typical smartphone. 

Although Google’s patent application for its logo only refers to smartphones, Despite the Google Pixel Tablet having a similar design, In this scenario, the logo is one of the most important elements for large brands since it showcases the identity of the brand. 

Interestingly, Google has patented this design, which is eventually a simple alphabet, which suggests that the brand has no plans to renovate its logo anytime soon.
