Samsung has introduced a power package of AI tools named Galaxy AI, and now it is taking steps to expand its AI facilities. Recently, it has just revealed a patent for an AI that will summarize documents.
The Korean tech giants have revealed a patent for an AI that has the power to summarize documents based on already-learned behavior. By this step, it appears that Samsung is actively interested in commanding the AI tools industry.
A post on X shared by a tipster stated that “Samsung has disclosed a patent for AI document summarization technology.”
If the reports are to be believed, it is expected that the brand could apply this brand new patent on AI document summarization technology to the forthcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6. Samsung Electronics applied for this innovative patent on February 29 with the title ‘‘Electronic device for providing summary information using an artificial intelligence learning model and its control method.’’
The aim behind this innovation is just to introduce a technology that helps when a query is entered into an electronic device, AI inspects it, offers multiple related documents, identifies the user’s interests, and political inclinations, and then offers a customization summary.
The patent disclosure from Samsung offers multiple summaries of information regarding search queries from usage history information. The usage history detail includes some key points, such as the preferences of the users, political inclinations, and knowledge levels composed while the user is using the electronic device. It is also expected that the brand may apply the technology to its Galaxy AI, ‘Samsung Gauss’, that is attached to the Galaxy S24 as well as the Galaxy Book 4 series.
Although it is already rumored that the next generation of foldable devices, named the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, will arrive with Galaxy AI features, Now it is reported that this innovative AI summarization technology could make the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 a more innovative and refined device.
For better understanding, the giants also offered an interesting example where AI can summarize articles, in a post on X it is mentioned that – “If a user enters an article on the topic of “Agenda for the South Korea – U.S. Summit,” and commands “summarize it shortly and neutrally,” AI would summarize keywords such as ‘Noth Korea, nuclear, missile, South Korea – U.S. military exercises,” and if the command is to “summarize it long and negatively,” AI would summarize the article to say, “Disagreements between South Korea and the United States on North Korean solutions could cast a shadow on the upcoming South Korea-U.S. summit.”
